- The city of Al Ain which literally means ‘The Spring’, is an ancient city central to the cultural heritage of the UAE and the birthplace of the President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahayan. It remains close to the heart of the royal family and the people of UAE. For more than 5,000 years, it has been a welcome and a cool retreat from the surrounding desert and coastal Emirates. Known as the “Garden City of the Gulf”, it is built around nurturing oases irrigated by ancient falaj water systems.

I, unfortunately, was only able to enjoy Al Ain for 1 month as I was previously based in Abu Dhabi. Seeing this video makes me miss this place so much I remember walking from my place near Mediclinic, walking through Al Ain Oasis and going to the mini-mountain and back, a total of 10 km every time. I look forward to returning and walking around the area again.
Such a wonderful driving in Al Ain my second home. Simple but Beautiful, Green but clean. Your driving brings back my wonderful life in UAE. Nothing had changed but a few R/A converted to intersections and the Khalifa mosque a stunning piece of art and work. Love UAE💙😍🇦🇪always.

I kept looking for this certain house.
When I was still studying in Al Ain, my school bus always pass by this huge white mansion near the town. I always liked the architecture of that mansion and dreamt as a kid to have that kind of house in the future haha. That was 13 years ago! Damn.
I wonder if the mansion is still standing.
