They did a perfect job of showing that Sora is pure of heart in this trailer. He has no violent intent and would rather make more friends than enemies.
Honestly it made me fall in love with the series once again. I was insanely disappointed with KH3 and MOM that I was pretty much done with the KH series, but this reveal trailer more than made up for everything and why I loved KH in the first place. It was distinctive, it was simple and it was so emotional without nostalgia references and deus ex machina elements
I was in a group call with friends during the reveal and I was losing my mind at 1:19. The first of us to call it saying "THAT'S A KEYBLADE! IT'S SORA!" and was solidified by the keychain.

Was really hoping there’d be some epic battle remix of that for a stage soundtrack, I feel like we got a bit short-changed music-wise on this addition.
I'm still crying. To this day. We will never get another game like this in our lifetime. Not just Smash. Not just fighting games. The biggest celebration I've ever seen.
In terms of characters I agree that no other game will be able to top it, but at least with a smaller roster it would be easier for them to add tons of replayable single player content like how they did in Brawl since I feel like Ultimate heavily lacks replayable single player content.
@@Masked_Mastermind if you don't have friends who like Smash or don't care about online play, then there's not much else to do in Smash Ultimate :/ with that huge of a roster and DLC characters with their own unique movesets, I really would've loved to see all this polish and character movements be used in a single-player crafted mode with platforming, parkour and exploring. Seems sort of like a waste to not make something more out of this potential :)

Such a well done trailer. I love how it goes full circle with the reference to the announcement trailer. The flaming smash logo going out, signifying the end of the game (and possibly the franchise under Sakurai's leadership), but Sora is the last spark before the game is complete.

This ballot was placed ages ago, not a massive fan of this series but I love smash as a whole. I may not have gotten my ideal last character but I'm sure as hell glad they did this for the fans that placed their ballots ages ago. But one thing is for sure, KH has amazing music. Surprisingly pleased for this trailer.

I actually teared up watching this. Not because of Sora, it was a sweet culmination of everything Sakurai worked on. It was a beautiful door closing on a magnificent project.

You know the trailer is good when you feel nostalgic and start crying about a main character from a game you never even played- Thanks to that KH is now one of my fav games of all times.
I think it's just the genuine Disney vibe Sora gives off. With the ochrstrated version of simple and clean too Sora flying around it just feels classic Disney that a lot of people grew up with. I can't help but smile just watching this trailer to this day. It still makes me want to cry.
I got so much excited I actually screamed "NO WAY, MICKEYYY!" at first but instantly turned it to "No, wait, IT'S SORA, I FORGOT ABOUT HIM!", haha. The chain logo completely took me by surprise and WHAT A SURPRISE THAT WAS, WE FINALLY GOT OUR BOY IN SMASH! What a perfect way to end the fighter list. :)

Sephiroth's entrance cutting bosses in half and bringing despair. Sora's entrance flying around gracefully with a smile on his face happy as hell to finally be in smash.
This trailer is genuinely really emotional, it feels like we just beat the game and we’re seeing everyone reunite. Also gotta love how they threw in Sephiroph at the end (and they remembered Xion existed)
Raiden will be back in a Playstation Allstars Sequel for the PS5. Featuring more Characters than the last game. Pooling from Official and third party Indie Devs, very likely Mostly Sony Characters and any other "Guest" appearances set as Assists, Cameos or DLC. Like the last game it will probably be announced once the Smash Ultimate Hype dies down. From what I'm guessing The next Allstars Will feature It's own set of Final Fantasy Characters probably Noctis and Ardyn to mirror Smash Sephiroth/Cloud Ok let me just tell you the Big Companies that are in on the project it would be faster. CAPCOM NAMCOBANDAI SQUARENIX NaughtyDog/Toysforbob EPIC With a team like that, You've got a Huge Library of Potential Fighters for a Brawler. Not counting the Indies But I bet that Beatrix Chick from SLIME Rancher would make the cut to be in the next ALLSTARS.

Sora flying through the air is a representation of victory, maybe not for all players, but for the development team and all the fans that tought this was impossible, I can't imagine how much it cost to bring this character here. Congratulations Sakurai!
This reveal trailer is just too perfect, it starts how Ultimate began, with the flaming smash logo & Splatoon character. Then all the characters are lifeless toys, I think it was to symbolize that Smash Ultimate is ending. Then Sora arrives & revives the game for one last time. The way he entered seems magical like a celebration for the ending of Ultimate while being a nod to Sora’s character.
Would be a fitting end too. I’m a casual smash player and have maybe played 2 second worth of KH, but anyone that has played smash has heard Sora’s name thrown around as a potential new character for years. So It’s cool to see, and I’m happy for everyone that finally got what they’ve wanted. Especially Kingdom hearts fans

I've never played Kingdom Hearts a day in my life, but that music and entrance was so perfect that I felt tears well up inside of me! This felt like a moment 20 years in the making, that's how good of a trailer this was!

Man, Sora has been one of the most requested characters to get in Smash Bros since (I believe) Brawl. Seeing him finally get in as the final character in Ultimate just feels like it's all come full circle. All of the BIG rumor characters from the Brawl days are finally here, and it's strangely beautiful.

Despite me not being a fan of either KH or Smash, I don't know if it's the whimsical animation, the amazing orchestral performance, or the fact that this is the final character of the franchise, but I can't help but smile and get teary-eyed over seeing Sora. What a wonderful note to end Smash on!
Fun Fact: in an interview from June 2022, it was revealed that Disney was actually super supportive of Sora being in Smash. It was Nomura that had a problem.

Even though, unsurprisingly, Disney's usual characters who appeared in Kingdom Hearts such as Donald Duck or Goofy can't join Sora in Smash, it's nice that they were able to include that Mickey Mouse symbol on Sora's keyblade chain. Probably the best damn announcement trailer I've seen, and what an epic ending. Thank you, Sakurai and everyone else who made it possible.

You know this is now just gonna be used in Kingdom Hearts as cannon material. Since at the end of KH3 it leaves with Sora traveling to find Kiri. And part of his journey is gonna be in the world of Smash.

I remember when this first came out, me and my friend were watching it together. Once it showed the Mickey charm we both knew. My friend looked at me know how happy I was, I was crying of happiness. Kingdom Hearts is my childhood and my comfort game. Seeing my favorite character final make it to smash bros brought me to tears
Man, this had my eyes tearing up. I remember when I was in middle school and there was a prank spreading around with a collaboration of Kingdom Hearts and Super Mario. I was so heartbroken when it turned out to be fake. Now it's finally becoming a reality.

The instant nostalgia, goosebumps and tears when the music starts. For a brief moment you return to that special place you enjoyed as a child playing kingdom hearts. We are all much older now but the heart does not forget.
I want to thank everyone for taking this 21-year ride together with me. Smash Bros has been a part of my life for a long time, and I am glad to have been around others who appreciate it as much as I do. This may be the end of an era, but the legacy this game left behind will never fade.
I love how his trailer is the only one that gives no hints of it being him until the very end. Im sure many people anticipated he would be the final character in smash so them having this kind of trailer is them being unpredictable to the very end.

This ballot was placed ages ago, not a massive fan of this series but I love smash as a whole. I may not have gotten my ideal last character but I'm sure as hell glad they did this for the fans that placed their ballots ages ago. But one thing is for sure, KH has amazing music. Surprisingly pleased for this trailer.

I think it's just the genuine Disney vibe Sora gives off. With the ochrstrated version of simple and clean too Sora flying around it just feels classic Disney that a lot of people grew up with. I can't help but smile just watching this trailer to this day. It still makes me want to cry.

This reveal trailer is just too perfect, it starts how Ultimate began, with the flaming smash logo & Splatoon character. Then all the characters are lifeless toys, I think it was to symbolize that Smash Ultimate is ending. Then Sora arrives & revives the game for one last time. The way he entered seems magical like a celebration for the ending of Ultimate while being a nod to Sora’s character.
Would be a fitting end too. I’m a casual smash player and have maybe played 2 second worth of KH, but anyone that has played smash has heard Sora’s name thrown around as a potential new character for years. So It’s cool to see, and I’m happy for everyone that finally got what they’ve wanted. Especially Kingdom hearts fans

Despite me not being a fan of either KH or Smash, I don't know if it's the whimsical animation, the amazing orchestral performance, or the fact that this is the final character of the franchise, but I can't help but smile and get teary-eyed over seeing Sora. What a wonderful note to end Smash on!

Fun Fact: in an interview from June 2022, it was revealed that Disney was actually super supportive of Sora being in Smash. It was Nomura that had a problem.

Even though, unsurprisingly, Disney's usual characters who appeared in Kingdom Hearts such as Donald Duck or Goofy can't join Sora in Smash, it's nice that they were able to include that Mickey Mouse symbol on Sora's keyblade chain.
Probably the best damn announcement trailer I've seen, and what an epic ending. Thank you, Sakurai and everyone else who made it possible.
We would have honestly accepted Sora with his kingdom key sans keychain. It's nice that they managed to get that in though.
I guess it's because Sora is Square's, not Disney.

The keyblade/keyhole bringing everyone to life was so sweet
You know this is now just gonna be used in Kingdom Hearts as cannon material. Since at the end of KH3 it leaves with Sora traveling to find Kiri. And part of his journey is gonna be in the world of Smash.

I remember when this first came out, me and my friend were watching it together. Once it showed the Mickey charm we both knew. My friend looked at me know how happy I was, I was crying of happiness. Kingdom Hearts is my childhood and my comfort game. Seeing my favorite character final make it to smash bros brought me to tears

Man, this had my eyes tearing up. I remember when I was in middle school and there was a prank spreading around with a collaboration of Kingdom Hearts and Super Mario. I was so heartbroken when it turned out to be fake. Now it's finally becoming a reality.
I believe that was from GamePro's notorious April Fool's prank. I was so disappointed it wasn't real.

Honestly I don't think many at all considered Sora to join Smash. Sure he won several polls in Japan and ranked highly worldwide in characters players wanted to see in Smash, but noone I talked to honestly expected Disney to loosen its death grip on their IP.
