Greenville (SC) Textile Heritage Festival 2009

The Greenville (SC) Textile Heritage Society held its 3rd Annual Textile Heritage Festival at The Upcountry History Museum in October 2009 as part of the Southwide Textile Heritage Initiative's Textile Heritage Week.. The featured Greenville Textile Heritage Band, founded in 2007 by Dr. Michael Moore, is patterned after the early mill village brass bands and uses authenthic period instruments, repertoire and costuming. The Society will sponsor the 4th annual Textile Heritage Festival at The Upcountry History Museum with free admission on October 2-3, 2010. A feature of the 2010 Festival will be the newly formed Greenville Textile Heritage Society Chorale under the direction of Mrs. Judy Edwards.
