Duracell | FLY TYING TUTORIAL

MATERIALS LIST BELOW!
The "Duracell" is an imitator of epic proportions and another fantastic Euro style Nymph to add to your box. Invented by Craig McDonald, The Duracell possesses a CDC collar that creates movement often found in swimming nymphs while the Tungsten oversized bead gives this fly plenty of sink rate to cut through the column which covers your dislodged clinger nymph category. This fly is even effective at imitating a caddis larvae but ubiquitous enough to be applied to match a variety of mayfly hatches. Fish it on a tightline setup, under a dropper or in a swing rig. All of those applications will stick fish in the net for you!

Thanks, i just bought 3 more of these flies. i've only used it once and it's been cold and i hope to get out again soon. i need to actually sit down with someone to help me. wish i could find someone locally. i have the hooks, the tungston but need to buy the cvc and the brown uv ice dub. I really like the blue into the ice dub. Wish me luck!
