You're visiting the louvre wrong if you line up by the pyramid...you have to so across from the pyramid to the park area and take the stairs down. It let u enter the underground louvre mall and the lines are way shorter, if any there.
As a local, I can tell you it is... just not in the way the movies show Paris, or the way tourists often imagine it before they arrive 😉 Plus, being annoyed and complaining is a French tradition. So of course we complain about Paris.
@@CamilleGras Same in my country. Tourists always say people here are always hospitable and I friendly. Not all people are like that, they can be friendly to tourists but not in other people that lives in this country.
I like the honesty here. The times I've been to Paris, I was a bit disillusioned. It's not a movie fairy tale, it's a big international city. Has all the pros and cons that come with that. I appreciate the city more when I lowered my expectations.

I think #9 can be generalized further: Bringing the Burger King mentality of having everything your way in Paris. Americans are so used to asking for substitutions and making special requests in the US, that when they go to France (or any country for that matter) they expect the same. This is a surefire way to really annoy a French waitstaff, who will more than likely dismiss your request outright. If you take it a step further and ask to speak to the manager, they still won't honor your request and will just ask you to leave.
The vegan thing made me laugh. I went to Lyon on the French exchange (from UK) as a teenager and the whole staff in McDonald's stopped to come and ask me questions and stare because I said I was vegetarian. "BUT WHY???????"
Paris is beautiful place but the last time I went there, my uncle almost got his wallet stolen (we caught the girl) and it was stressing to have to look out 24/7
My phone was stolen in Paris. We had been so diligent, but a moment's inattention gave some pickpocket an opportunity. It's really hard being on your guard all the time.
Everything in this video makes me so excited to go there one day... i think my personality would fit in great there because im constantly judged for my ranting and passionate conservations here in the u.s. and i dont drive.. my only problem would be that i dont really drink and my diet is restrictive, but i am currently learning french and this makes me excited to go there one day

I have travelled around France, and I do agree that it is not really a vegan friendly country. I found that Paris was the easiest place to be vegan because it is a big city and there are vegan restauranta if you research them before. When you go to small villages or in Bretagne it is impossible to eat vegan..and when your gluten-free too..you can expect to have a glass of water only. Also, some people don't understand veganism entirely. I saw a restaurant call their crepe/galette vegan but it was cookee with butter. I love the French, but veganism overthere has a long way to go for sure! Don't avoid France, it's a beautiful country, just be prepared food-wise. :)
What I find annoying is when us poeple from Québec go to Paris and then they start talking to us in english because we have a different French accent. One person asked my mom what language we speak at home (french! Isn't it obvious!)
