Yes! Outline width faster please! I use it a lot! Also, individual letter isolation so I can make each letter in a transformation a different color. Thanks Kittl team!
For the time being use gradients, change the rotation so that it's vertical and not horizontal & place each color gradient so that it aligns with a singular letter.
Thx a bunch, Drew! As you said in the beginning of the video "some of those hacks you might know, some you might not". I knew quite a few, working with kittl every day almost exclusively. Some I didn't and they'll come in very handy especially that last one with the text! Keep these videos coming, mate! 🙏🏼😎
Far from a master, mate, but yes, I'm getting better. No surprise, really, considering that I use kittl exclusively now for POD. I just wish I'd become a master in that business, though. No sales to speak of but it's early days. 🤷🏽♂️
And I thought I was slowly getting better at designing 😂these hacks are AWESOME for beginners like me, and easy to do as well, once you know about them. Thank you for this! 👏🏻
Hi, I just upgrade to pro and catching on quickly. Thanks for taking the xtra seconds on the cut out hack to make sure we are with you. So often a tutor's pointer leaves the screen leaving the viewer guessing.
I'm really impressed by the cool hacks! I have been a Kittl user from the first day and haven't known so many tricks. Every one of your hacks is so useful! Thank you Drew, seeing your videos is so enjoyable for me. And I have a lot of fun, motivation and inspiration. 🤩
I love Kittl and love learning new update tools etc. but i would give up several hacks just to be able to have my designs open faster. It always takes awhile whether i have one artboard or several in a project. And I have a new fast computer too. My Canva projects downloads instantly. Thank you
Interesting! We will take a look at any performance issues, as generally the opening and downloading of projects will rely on WIFI/Internet strength as opposed to computer strength. We did make a few updates recently as to how Kittl downloads projects with images (faster), but please let us know if it continues to happen! We're happy to hear you love using Kittl!
@@Kittldesign It happens all the time and I have a fast computer and fast fiber optic internet. My canva projects open instantly so it has to be on the kittl side.
Outstanding video ... very new to Kittl and am blown away at its versatility. Appreciate ya'll sharing these hacks ... looking forward to creating some dope images. !! Gonna go practice now 💪💪😎
Great hacks, thanks for making this video. I would love to see more like this. Question: Around 5 minutes, after you talked about using Shift 2, how are you duplicating those art boards? I wanted to do that earlier today and couldn't find a way to do it quickly. So how are you doing it here?
Hey there! To duplicate, you can hold the ALT or OPT key on your keyboard, click and drag the artboard title to anywhere else and it immediately makes a duplicate.
I learned about the shortcuts panel at today years old. I've been using Kittl for a year! I have a wide screen monitor & have never noticed at the bottom of my screen. Thanks!!
Great tips! Please keep them coming! I would like a feature that allows me to move and compose an image after I have added it to a mask. Let's say I use a circle, star, or letter mask and add the image, but the image isn't showing what I want it to show. Now I have to crop the image or change the image, then add it back to the mask and it's still not right. So then, I undo what I did and crop again, and again until the image, when added to the mask is placed where it looks good. Does that make sense? I'd like to move the image around after it's placed in the matte so that it looks right. Thanks!
I use the text outline a ton. Would love to see it as a solo option. I’ve also been looking for ways to edit/blend/fade effect an uploaded picture. Thanks!
Cool hacks! Is it possible to get a stationary color bar underneath the HUE setting that indicates cool spectrum to warm? I spend a lot of time going through different settings trying to find the tone I am looking for. This would be a great time-saver for me. Thank you!
Thanks for sharing the tips. I really appreciate knock out text hack. I have been uploading my designs to Photopea to delete the text outlines. Does Kittl have any plans to add a feature to do this natively without having to do a hack? This really elevates the professionalism of designs.
The last one is dope. Imagine what you can do at a shirt design with this. In the past you had to do this in Adobe or Affinity and now just in Kittl. This Kittl Magic save so much time and is every Dollar worth.
Just found the artboard cropping function today. Love it! I uploaded an image I wanted to add elements to but did not want to scale it up or down. So needed the artboard to be the same size for the download so it would not have extra space around the image. Being able to drag the edges of the artboard to match the image is awesome.
Thanks so much! Does Kittl have any plans to add a video creation feature? Even just creating a slideshow from multiple art boards would be hugely helpful for the print on demand community! I'd rather not have to go over to Canva for this feature.... much appreciated!
I second this request. I use the other tools for alignment, but nothing compares to rulers and clipping guides to ensure that a design is truly aligned as you need it to be.
In the works! by alignment do you mean lining up object with each other? This can be achieved with our tidy tool in the top right when an object is selected 🙂
@@Kittldesign I do use the tidy tool often and it’s helpful. However, I meant the rulers/guides that you can create on a canvas board like Photoshop and clip your designs to it. Like clipping rulers. That would super helpful for overall designs. Because the current guides that kinda pop up when you’re trying to align are not always accurate and most of the times hard to find, imho. So having the ability to add and remove rulers/guides you can clip to in the centers and just guides for printing purposes would be awesome. Like PS rulers that you can clip to.
Thank you so much for the good information! So helpful! Maybe you guys have already thought about this, but would it be possible to have outline as its own option and just have the ability to turn off the color! This would resolve the whole issue with the outline color being visible when you’re trying to utilize it as a cut out tool like you were doing. I would love to do this for more designs, but I do need for it to be more efficient. Just thought I would share that with you and maybe sometime in the near future that could be added. Thanks for all the tips and tricks that you guys provide. I love your videos.
When clicking open the artboard size, I get access to size, layer opacity, color and texture. I don't see where you get access to ADJUSTMENTS? Like brightness, sharpness, these don't appear on my version of Kittl?
Hey there! Adjustments are available for static images (like images you would add from our Images panel, or upload, either in PNG or JPEG format). Then you'll see the adjustments panel over on the right.
Nice hack on the last one. I use a couple other programs to do this after I save it as a SVG from kittl. Which takes more time. It would be cool if kittl added this, leaving the border by itself (as you said) and make it it's own continent. An option after that would be to make it a (negative space) where it cuts out anything in front or back of it and just shows through to the background. I've called it a contour, minus front to back, but yeah would be awesome if kittl made this happen!
Agreed! Having the option for borders/contour to be alpha mask would be amazing! It may be tricky but we'll see what we can do! More amazing features to come 🙂
@kittldesign I was like ‘yo’ Kittl is spying on me, how did they know I needed these hacks.’ Lol. Actually all the hacks were amazing. I’m so happy about image scaling. PS. LOVE the last text hack! Was just trying to figure out how to do this! Thank you!!!
Good question! As of right now textures can only be moved around once they are released, which then removes the options of alpha mask and clip content. This is a wonderful point and I will bring this up to our developers! A workaround for the time being could be resizing your design/canvas to avoid which ever part of the texture you don't like. Thank you for pointing this out to us! 🙂
