Last year the ecolo party in Belgium wanted a woman of moroccan descent to lead the institute for equality between men and women. A french speaking liberal disagreed with the proposal because she wears a veil. This is in contradiction with the principle of separation between church and state..

She stepped down. Until this day ecolo still insists that her credentials and capabilities were okay..

Read about the life of Mohammad, and there was nothing, as a human being, that I can say Muhammad was a good person, nothing at all. @@vonvicious7737 That's the problem with Islam. What you claim are the basic tenets are not the basic tenets for many other muslims. That's a confusion within the Islamic world and yet many non-Muslims have been killed because of the confusion for no fault of theis.
Even if we were to put that aside for a second, the bigger point is, basic tenets or not, those which I mentioned are still part of Islam. And not just fringe, they are all mainstream beliefs. A pew survey was even done few years ago to confirm that 70 to 90% muslims truly believe all those violent and barbaric parts of islam.

The basic tenets of this religion are the things I mentioned and it's what most Muslims who have a teacher in their life learn at school, because it's the most important.
I can't even see your comment anymore (deleted?) but you mentioned some Islamic Law stuff and not just the Sharia equivalents of crossing a red light. Marriage laws and punishment laws are not "basic" by any means, they are issues that go through a court procedure where different factors can be taken into account.
So first admit you were wrong and that you'll try not to repeat that lie again. Otherwise I'm not gonna waste more blocks of texts on your ignorant points and engage in useless arguing if your mind is already closed with bias.

Separation of church and state is a rule in western countries. Religion is a matter for the soul; it is a spiritual concern. The state is a matter for political leadership; a material concern.

It was meant by Thomas Jefferson as a way to protect people from the state imposed "official religion" or "denomination". like for example in England they had the "Church of England", in russia the Russian Orthodox church is in fact the official church of the state and it uses its status to throw its weight around. Thomas Jefferson never meant it as "politics should be separate from faith"... ALL of the founding fathers were deeply religious, not only that, but they spoke openly about their faiths. if they believed the way democrats do today, they would not have been quoting the Bible in their speeches and speaking about their faith all the time.

Seeing the ordinary Muslims in the west response to the massacre on 7th October it is hard to believe they are not all supporting Hamas. Well dressed, well educated professional muslins in their 30s and 40s pulling the children who have been taken hostage photos down in anger. The protests of absolute hatred by so many of this age group along with the young appears that the overwhelming majority are Medina Muslims. It’s just hard to believe there are millions not supporting Islamists when we see thousands upon thousands and thousands in the west supporting them. I totally agree there are some Muslims who just want to live their lives but it seems they are in the minority. Help us more to see where these ones are please.

im dutch and i agree the polarization is self evident. from a cultural educational and fundamental perspective muslims/islam but also christians/Catholics/protestants need to go with the time and change/improve the laws of religion to follow suit that of basic human rights for males and females or in the least match it. in my leftist eye, if they can not adhere with the previous statement then religion has no real further value in human life. other then a hoby or a pas time activity.

Never been to Australia, only have the US media which can be sketchy at times; with that I fear for Australia as I do Canada and the US. Canada and Australia have shown a willingness to authoritarian rule. We have a large part of the US population that embrace and authoritarian type government. I suspect that Muslim domination is just a strategy to bring down these democracies and then a Centralized World power will come in and establish the government they want.
