There's a book trilogy that you should read. They are by Daniel Quinn and titled Ishmael, The Story of B, and My Ishmael. Especially read The Story of B. It will give you a realistic, science based perspective on food -vs- population, and how things came to be the way they are. In short, we need to grow less food, not more, but that food needs to be more evenly distributed. Thus the local aspect is very important. Cheers!

I think we want to classify our land and identify who owned it. In Asia density of population and other factors reduced local farm land dramatically.secondly local farmers canot compete with higher yield mechanised large scale farming.may be local system have a chance to fail feed entire humanity.

hmm... isn't it high time for just one simple rule: true cost pricing? Your animation namely doesn't show the irreversible extraction damage being done to the 3rd world countries where "our" imported food are now being produced. At the cost of their generations to come. Not quite fair is it?

Permaculture is the solution.. Period! build food forests with permaculture.

We will never reach 9 billion; there will be a sharp decline after reaching 8 billion.🤘😷
