How is yours so smooth? Do you have Optical Flow in this one? My CG Version has Optical Flow and it’s Jerky. Fights my Inputs and does it’s own thing. Flying on a TX16S With Expo 20% AIL and ELE. Thinking about opening it up to Disconnect Optical Camera/Board.
😮😮😮 ... How did you get yours NOT to do the "Rocket Man To The Moon"????... Ev'ry body else's does the "Rocket Man To the Moon" no sooner than the blades get up to speed.... Want to get one, but NOT into Rockets...😮😮
It's really not a case of every copter doing it. I have 2 and neither of them did this. Just be careful to go over the copter before first flight like one would with any copter, perform calibration on level surface before each flight. Usually it requires some trimming after calibration during first flight so be ready for that, if starting out keep it in speed mode 1 initially. Also there is a youtuber named Andrej Sturm who shows how to do trimming and then saving the trims so you don't have to recalibrate everytime. He also shows his first flight where his does go straight up but he is fortunate there is no wind to make it drift away and he kept his cool and it came back down and didn't get damaged. This is why if a beginner I would do initial flights outdoors, zero wind, open area. If you have a good sized indoor space one could try it inside but the chance of running into hard objects and getting damage is higher especially for less experienced heli flyers. At least if it tryed to go straight up it would just run into the ceiling but if it did that I would just be ready or maybe have someone ready to like throw a rag at it to stop it from beating itself up if it wouldn't shut down. Mine have always shut down as commanded with the emergency stop button on transmitter. You have to push it and hold it down for a few seconds.

Not true. I have many of these C189 helis in different fuses. Out of the many only one has had the flyaway issue.
mine is so tamed.
