I dont think pluto yields the Power in the square aspect. I think the issue with aspect in my experience is that Pluto tries to gain control of Venus but cannot which frustrates him.

It prefers to wield it :) Controlling behaviours are definitely an issue with this aspect, but to know whether or not gaining control is achieved would likely need a consideration of more chart factors. A 'Venus' with strong markers for assertiveness will manage this situation much better than someone who tends to be more passive and lacks that. Regardless, some kind of struggle is indicated by the square.
@InspiritAstrology I have this aspect with someone now, so this is of course just my experience. My venus is conjunct my sun and is well aspected in general (trines to ascendant and moon..). I also have sun conjunct mars and some tight pluto squares to moon and ascendant, so I m definitely not to be controlled that easily. His pluto is square my venus by 0 degrees and my sun by 5 degrees and his mars opposite my venus so yeah, quite a passionate connection to say the least.
