Baba was a strong motivation for me when I was studying Law at UNAD. Whenever we invited him during our Law week his presence then was a huge motivation for me as we both hail from Ado-ekiti. I'm proud of you Daddy, you are an iconic legal luminary to Africa, to the world, and to ME!
Great interview DF. Unless Nigeria is reconfigure, Abuja will destroy all the institutions based on come-chop mentality. Imagine all the policies and institutions built in the 70s and 80s all camotose now. ABUTH, IBUTH, LUTH,UNNTH, Ajakuta, NNPC,NRC, Nigeria Security apparatus, CBN, Naira, farms settlement, the list is endless.
This is very very educative DF kindly get other very big fish like Baba to be interviewed e.g. Baba Gen. Gowon, Baba Obasanjo, Baba Clerk. etc. With this interview, i just subscribe back to your tv. Please keep this type of program coming, unlike some of your programs where you always have reasons to talk back at (insulting) at people. I come in peace ooo. 1:30:58
A legend indeed!❤️ Very impressive.👏👏👏 Would be nice to see a video of the university, the farm, the hospital, and the other amenities in the community.🙏
Thank you Daddy Freeze. It's worth every minute spent watching this! Very inspiring and instructive. Too much wisdom in one sitting. Thank you Baba. BTW - Been to His house in Bodija, Ibadan couple of times in the late 90s - 2000.
One of the best things you have brought to us Daddy Freeze. We need more interviews from baba Afe Babalola's wealth of experience and wisdom. God bless.
I met him in his office in 1986/87 to do business with him. I was shocked that Afe Babalola's Chamber could be in that area of Ekotedo Ibadan. Lengthy discussions. Lessons learnt. Principles, humility, prudence and knowledgeability. Wishing you many more years in sound health and mind.
Thank you for taking the pain to bring a man of this wealth of experience, and knowledge. One striking thing he said that kept me thinking, is a fact that our embracing foreign religion made us rather more insincere than when we were following God in our own perception and cultural ways. We were honest because there were immediate consequences on wrongs.
Yes, Baba is a giver, My extended family's got scholarships from Baba for years and Each time I followed my Father to greet Baba, he always told his PA to give everybody Money. Thanks for this interview.
Seun actually supported a man who wil easily be blackmailed by the same colonial masters he is speaking against .. Very sound Seun but then tribalism really messed with him ,no one should compare Seun to his father ..
Establishing a university at 80. Okay. Says it all. No excuse. Lessons learned: what is that system that disgusts you? Fix it. Thank you PaPa! Thank you Daddy Freeze Sir!
But do you know the cost of brand new car like Peugeot was around 8k naira, then so 5M either naira or dollars was a lot of money. Then it was $1 to N0.57 meaning he charged N2.85M. When state budget are still in millions.
@@samolu5367 ...I'm only referring to the purchasing power of the then Naira to the $. My first trip to London was in 1985 as a Nigerian student in Moscow Russia, I spent the Nigerian Naira at the Liverpool Street Market in London England because the Naira was more valuable than the pound 💷 sterling in those hay days...kudos to him for charging N2.85m
In the era of our forebears, life was optimal. Though there were drawbacks, the present times seem like a curse. Ultimately, religion is perceived as a mistake at the end of the day. Olodumare ❤ Corruption entered Africa through religion, and unfortunately, addressing it now seems belated. ⏰

He's my mentor. Kudos to all the good works Baba and thanks Daddy Freeze
This is one of your best shows, I love listening to progenitors to have a taste of their experiences. Daddy freeze, this is wow!
He worked under my grandfather at the civil service Mr Sangosanya, who also encouraged him and he later became his lawyer and even wrote his Will.
This is awesome and highly inspiring
Baba is a Legend , even acknowledged by Ruth Ginsburg
when Baba said the best investment is in land, low-key DF wanted to argue
Great interview.
One of the best interviews if not the best from this great legal giant. An inspiration for the younger minds

When Baba charged $5m for a case, the Nigerian currency then was more powerful than the British £££ sterling

Daddy Freeze, are you aware if Christ used bible to preach his gospel?
imagine he was earning more as a teacher than a civil servant back then but now we have relegated the teachers. We need to reprioritise education
Baba must be older than he knows, from the these narratives.

Does Papa mean there was no matches it 1937 ? 1937 wasn't the stone age years.
Papa lived in the village back then. That's why
Things like salt, matches etc were rarity in many African villages up until the early 19th century
He grew up in ado ekiti which was a remotely obscure village in the 1930s and that was applicable to all other villages in africa
@@Bjcrypto545he lived in a village
