Easy job, but thumbs up for a very simple and detailed guidance how to do it. Many people don’t mention simple details which are very important not to damage other things while fixing something.
Congratulations gents, your tutorials are the best than I've seen and very clear for everybody.I spent many times many hours watching your tutorials. Yes , that's true , the car design engineers are sometimes completely stupid guys, because we must to dismantle half of the car for a simple thing.Anyway, congratulations again for your tutorials.
I guess Im randomly asking but does any of you know a way to log back into an Instagram account?? I stupidly forgot the account password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me
Good reason why to remove the antenna most golfs gets water in the top of the antenna and within the black cap is a diode that blows due to the water so if your wondering why your stereo isn't finding radio stations well there ya fault =)
Hello, dude u r a life saver i have just been given a gold gt tdi and whatever issues there are with the motor i will be referring to your videos God bless from a humble tomboy😊😊
Thanks so much for uploading this video ! Was really helpful. the nut on my mk4 GTI was a 22mm . Just mentioning that for anyone else who might need to know. My socket set didn’t come with a 23mm socket so it was pure luck.
Hi man, i really like your videos. Easy to understand for everybody (especially for people like me without any mechanical background ) so very helpfull. I was wondering if you could do a tutorial on replacing the coupling rods (i believe thats the english name lol) on a Golf mk4
Thanks so much for your video. I thought it would be a nightmare job, but actually not that difficult when someone actually takes the time to film it and actually not just doing the job the quick way, you went the extra mile to take off other items that was not necessary, but it was what I was looking for as loads of people have just pulled down the headlining and saying it’s a old car so the headlining will always be hanging down from now on. Yes they did get the aerial fixed but the roof was a mess and someone else had to use spray glue for the head lining as they had actually ripped the lining and had said well it’s a old car so this will always happen. Ps not even the rain got you down as your a better person then I am as it always rains when I have to do any out door work. 🔧🛠🧰👍🚗
Mate, thank you very much for the excellent Video. The OE gasket at the base of the antenna is made of crap material and has crumbled away. I can now replace it with something better looking and of better quality than the Original. Thanks again.
Hi mate thanks for all te tip you shown on. I'm from Maurius Island and just buy a golf mk4 1.4 16v year 2001 . The way I see you remove all te panel and te roof too I would appreciate to get all these I mine it not original .
Thanks! This video is very helpful :) I don't really like the original bumper car-like antenna on my Octavia MK1 so I'd like to replace it by a BMW shark antenna.
@@BMACVAGS The top part has been a disaster, after struggling to get the d pillars off, in the hope that that top part would be easier to remove, the top part ended up cracking every time i tried to budge it. It's a literal nightmare, and there's no tutorials are advice anywhere online, or in the haynes manual, or anyplace for that particular trim piece removal on an a4 b5 avant. I had to come in out of it after snapping plastic pieces and the top part still not release, fucking hell, it's maddening
But unfortunately I'm from Maurius Island in te Indian Ocean as here can't have all these panel as we don't have scrap yard here as small island and only not much spare parts .
The fact you did this in the rain shows dedication that honestly, i don't have. Well done and thanks for a short, to the point video.
Your VW tutorials are some of the best on TH-cam. Thanks for sharing!
Thank You for supporting me
I don't search TH-cam any more ... Just your channel 👌 Top man thank you for sharing.
Big thanks from the US...I watch a lot of your video to work on my VW

Excellent video. Was going to take car into garage to get this done, but feel confident to have a go myself now.

@Titus Abdiel instablaster ;)
btw its enough to clips the roof from the back a bit down you dont need to clips out the side stuff.
NEVER would have figured that on my own. Many thanks.

Hi how are you? Great video! I have golf Mk6 and can't find Ariel 😱 Can you help me
Good video, nice and simple. Would this be the same for the Mk6? Need to replace the aerial with a DAB one
Excellent video, but you know it's not going to be as easy as it looks. All this hastle just to change an aerial?
Mate, thank you very much for the excellent Video. The OE gasket at the base of the antenna is made of crap material and has crumbled away. I can now replace it with something better looking and of better quality than the Original.
Thanks again.
Helped a lot but I would’ve appreciate you showing how to unclip the antenna. Cheers
How would you suggest i record something like that? for future reference
Hi just a quick question is it possible that water can leak through the aerial?
Hi mate thanks for all te tip you shown on. I'm from Maurius Island and just buy a golf mk4 1.4 16v year 2001 . The way I see you remove all te panel and te roof too I would appreciate to get all these I mine it not original .
just did this last week... thanks for putting the video up.
Did you do it the same way?
Do you have to remove your aerial for a car wash?
Very good tutorial, helped me change the antena on my golf IV variant.
Thanks! This video is very helpful :)
I don't really like the original bumper car-like antenna on my Octavia MK1 so I'd like to replace it by a BMW shark antenna.
I am glad it helped.
thanks man i was requesting for this :) I watched all your videos thanks. I'm going to change next week my also.
I have to do this my base seal is all cracked and I can pull it off. seems easy enough.
but wouldnt you leave a hole in the roof, causing it to leak?
Does the golf 4 2001 has the same roof panel and all the side panel too and te handle also ?
hi, any hints/tips for a 2001 bora. my antenna has been snapped off : (
my 2000 opel corsa has same antenna like this. thanks for video bro :-) I liked it ;-)
Did you really have to record it while it's raining 🤔
Great job! 😀👍
Did you try this? Is the socket 22 or 23 mm?
Do you know the name of that connector?
Thanks.. these are a great help when planning to do some diy jobs 👍🏻
Is that the same for a mk5. Thanks
Thanks for this bro, gonna give it a shot with an A4 b5 avant
Good luck
