- Today in @MarvelSnap we sent a -128 power hobgoblin to our opponent who is playing a galactus deck. This was one of the best moments I've had in a stream in a long time. Make sure you check out the streams, they are a blast!

Even better if leader is played bouncing the hobgoblin back
or play a beast and keep it as yours

Regarding the Leader and Iron Man issue, I think it’s actually consistent there because earlier, when the Carnage is “played”, the On Reveal effect triggers first. That’s a consistent, in this game, On Reveal will always gain priority because it happens as you reveal the card, afterwards, the location effect happens and after that, the card is officially “played”. That’s why we count the 9 power Carnage instead of getting a 2 power Carnage when it’s played. As a result of this sequence, Iron Man was revealed, then the location effect happened which resulted in him getting destroyed and because nothing was there, the game interprets this as not being played because the “Play” only comes into effect after it has passed over On Reveal and the Location Effect
Wait, so if he had turn priority, then this changes? If location effects happen second, wouldn't it go:
Player 1 On reveal effect> Player 2 on reveal effect > location effect?
That -128 goblin was nasty! Also, been using leader and finally broke 80s. Went from 78-68 with destroy and movement. Had to change it up.

8:16 there’s a lot of continuity problems in this game, “copy” doesn’t always trigger “on reveal” effects. And then the “play” in wolverine doesn’t behave the same way as the “play” in mysterio

Here's one for you, on the kamar-taj location.. turn 4 I place wong there, turn 5 black panther, turn 6 odin and the total damage I 4194314 and I used store to secure middle with low cards, instant win try it out and see. I have a screenshot to prove it haha

the reason why you didn't get ironman is the same reason why you got a 9 power carnage. At least programatically that is how it works, had you revealed first however you would have copied it. Leader doesn't play the card, it just copies it after the fact and triggers its effect. It the card was somehow killed prior to the copy there is nothing to copy. They could probably change it to match cards like (forgot name) that copies the attack of your last played card, regardless of it was destroyed or not.
I'm in pool 1 and almost pool 2 I think but man I feel like u got me on the game molt and totally left me in the dust. Please dont forget bout the beginner that are coming each and every day
honestly just read up on the pool 3 and newer cards, you can show unowned cards in your game through the filter, and in my experience whenever I see more and more pool 3 I’m ready and haven’t lost too bad to decks that outmatch me. If anything its these damn hobgoblins that spring out of no where or storm/professor X, which you will get very soon.
Would pay to see the look on opponent's face when that hobgoblin came over
I just had someone play hobgoblin with minus -128. And in the same game a Odin played with minus -32. There other cards are shuri, wong and zabu
I've seen people explain it pretty much the way it works but I think that it more of a simple way to say it is if you had revealed first with your leader you would have copied any cards that your opponent played but since your leader was technically not on the board yet when he flipped in on revealed in Leader's mind quote on quote he never knew Iron Man was there because Iron Man got killed before he showed up.

mad respect fam and also about the leader situation its almost the same as in yugioh about rule sharking. cards aren't always gonna be so specific that it justifies what we think they should do

8:00 the way I read the card it says *copy* all the cards your opponent played. Not “play the cards your opponent played” so you’re copying the dead iron man that the opponent played so yours would be dead as well. The same reason why carnage kept its stats, because it *copied* the card instead of just playing a new one.

It copies the card. If there's no card there, then there's nothing to copy. Same reason Carnage came in at 9, it was a copy of the card the opponent played. You would have gotten Iron Man if you flipped first because Iron Man would have still been there to copy.
8:10 I don't understand that either, in other matches the oponnent plays more then one card but the Leader just copy one of them, even with available locations

Really want Attuma for my Shuri deck. Seems reliable. Granted, if you font have armor he has to be on his own, but 20 power is no joke. Especially into a taskmaster turn 6.

New to the game and a bit late to this video but why did the hobgoblin take -128 and not it’s default
I’ve been trying to find a reliable way to use Doc Oc outside of Zero and Cosmo. Any advice? Love seeing him in a deck, feel like he’s less used because of his ability, he’s just one of my faves.
The next deck, to be nice to you opponents, you should Shuri into hobgoblin then taskmaster to even it out
Hey molt I currently have lockjaw on my shop and I recently got my hands on Mr.negative, so should I just get the lockjaw or maybe wait for Magik or psylocke to show up?
lockjaw can be super fun to play and really powerful actually. And MR. neg still works on turn 4, magik is easily countered right now, so i would wait for phsylocke
Literally every time I've used Hobgoblin my opponent has played Odin to give it back (I'm in pool 2 btw)

8:10 you shouldnt get that 9power carnage before if it says so tho. opponent played a 2 power carnage then it gets the buff from eating :D
I'm still fairly new but leaders ability is onreveal and in both these cases he revealed last. I'm curious if he reveals first would it be a different outcome.

Just like he copied the 9 per from Carnage, he copies the current state of the Iron Man... which means you get nothing
Leader checks what your opponent played when it flips, so if he doesn't see it you don't get it. The stack in this game is worded poorly tho ill give u that
