There's no laws against it as far as I can tell. I use mine on Clear Creek all the time and no one ever says anything but "damn that's cool". Some places you can't use mechanical stuff. Some places no gas motors, but no where does it say you can't use a hand cranked trommel on your highbanker. It's no more then a fancy highbanker so it can be used about any place a highbanker can be used. I have a smaller version I make also. Since it's so portable you can take it about anywhere and so far as I can tell there aint a lot of trommels out there you can do that with that would disturb enough land to have to worry about it. If your a member of a club you can more then likely use it on their claims if your worried, or call the BLM. I did and what they said was if it doesn't disturb more then the average person then it is ok by them.
Can we use Trommels in Colorado, I might be buying a Bazooka Gold trap, but if i don't I think a trommel would be great!!
