Omni is a much better reprsentatoin of the human voice, cardoid definitely has issues with plosives, sounds uneven and thin. I would choose omni and work in RX to help control any echo or steady background noise.
So if I want to record a speaker. which version should I use?
I’ll take the response of the Omni and RX out the noise and echo. Cardioid is very uneven in response and has issues with plosives.
