Best version of Bon Jovi singing Hallelujah. My mom had Alzheimer’s and every time it was playing on my tv on Palladia I’d turn the volume way up. She’d yell I’m coming and sit right by my tv and sing along with it. I was able to DVR the video so she could watch it whenever she’d want. She’d come in my son’s room and say Hallelujah. I’d put it on for her. Thx for making my slowly dying mother have some joy in her day. Sadly she passed away 7 1/2 years ago. Music was the last thing she would react to. ❤
This song has more meaning than most people could ever being to understand. It doesn't matter who sings it, it's beautiful because it's coming from his heart.
We played this song while my sweet Mom was in hospice from Alzheimer’s disease. She had been unconscious for days from morphine but a lone tear rolled down her cheek.
You know it's a masterpiece when drops of your soul run down your cheeks every single time you hear it, no matter if it's the first time or the millionth.
He has traveled the world for over 40 years. Jon never got caught up in that rock n roll life style. For him it was always a business and he was the CEO. And now he is giving back in an awesome way. I love that song and I love this version with backing vocals, violin and piano. Singing with passion and conviction. Well done Jon Bon Jovi.
Never in my life did I think I would see the the great Bon Jovi who was one of the most influential bands of the 80s sing a song like this with such a gentle voice
This great song is so beautifully sung with such humility , reverence and great love🙏❤. Jon Bon Jovi is a fantastic singer 💞 FOREVER 🥰 Czech republic 🇨🇿😊♥️
+Sandra Lodoen lol. but i agree, Although the Jeff Buckley version is hard to compete with. Just try and sing it with Jeff. Almost impossible because of the little intonations he brings with him in that version. Pure art. What a miss that that man is no more...
Jon Bon Jovi and his team band did an awesome job on this Hallelujah song. Jon belted it out nicely. Way to go Jon. I love this song. We all love you Jon Bon Jovi.
I think Jon could sing just about anything and have it come out as nearly a first time experience for many. He has passion, and with that, he takes you away! Best concerts ever too.
I just shared another version they did of this song and this one is so much better if that is even possible. It's the emotion he puts into it that is so moving!
A beautiful rendition. This song is magical and one of the best songs of the last three decades, if not of all time. You did well, Jon. It's a prayer for anyone who sings it. I bow my head.
This is my very favourite song of late... I believe I've heard over 7 versions of this beautiful song, but in my opinion, Bon Jovi really delivers when it comes to his portrayal of how this song should be sung! I simply love this song...!! SEASON'S GREETINGS to all. "D" ON Canada (2014).
This song absolutely lulls me into a GOOD SLEEP right exactly when I really need and makes me think of the Wonderful things God has done for me. And I also dream of Him.
Teuvo Ihalainen Leonard Cohen wrote this song and Leonard Cohen says Jon Bon Jovi sings the best version of Hallelujah .....Jeff Buckley didn't write the song, but he did sing it just not as good as Jon ....Jeff Buckley is definitely a better guitar player than Richie could even dream of being though
Teuvo Ihalainen I listened to Jeff Bukley's version of this, even though I know you didn't suggest it to me, I was curious. I think Jeff's introduction was too long. and he fell short of Bon Jovi's version. Just my opinion of course, nothing personal.
as long as performers perform this song I'm happy.. there is no best version. there is the version you like and the ones others like. I thank BonJovi for doing it. and he did it well. My favorite...? well I wont tell.
i dont mean to be so off topic but does any of you know a method to log back into an instagram account?? I was dumb lost my account password. I would love any tips you can give me!
I am a Russian, in Russia know and love the music, love that sound like the words ...., we are in something different, but we are human beings, God bless you!
With tears streaming the most beautiful rendition I've ever heard. Gentle but powerful. Understated brilliance. Felt like I witnessed his spiritual breakthrough 👏👏
I have listened to this song (the Jon Bon Jovi rendition) a lot. It is like being in a beautiful church and hearing a deep heartfelt hymn. I truly see the Holy Spirit in Jon as he sings this beloved song. It is extremely moving.
There are so many good versions of this fantastic song. This one is among the best. Thanks to JBJ and of course to incredible Lenard Cohen! I adore them both!
This. Is. The. Most. Amazing. And. Beautiful. Coverversion. Out. of . all. of Them!!!!! Bon Jovi, I know, why i ´m a fan for three years now! you guys are amazing and still rocking after 30 Years and goddamnit, i cannot imagine beeing without you at any day of my life
Mid 50’s I started to have panic attacks. This version of the song helped me get through those dreadful things . Hormonal imbalances...such terrible things. Be well everyone. 😊🇨🇦
If you can cover a song as it was yours and never let your listeners think you did not write the song then you are incredible.. and Bon Jovi are. Thank you for performing this epic cover :)
+jackson yousaf This songs about sex and the orgasm. Which makes it ironic when played in churches and funerals, but it fits at weddings. Least the Jeff Buckley version is, which this is.
+Patrick Quinn At first it would seem that way (sacriligeous) but not really... the songs of Solomon are overtly sexual in their presentation. some of the most passionate love poetry in all of literature.
Jerry Adams It's definitely secular, but there are Christian versions of this. Just need to type "Christian Versions of HALLELUJAH" and YT will produce. Leonard Cohen wrote this about a very painful divorce. But, if you really listen to the words, you wouldn't sing it in church.. . (I.e. "Maybe there's a god above, but, all I ever learned from love, is how to shoot someone who out-drew you" That's just one example. It's not Christian, but it's still one of my all-time favorite songs. I listen mostly secular music...because it's what my older brother blasted throughout the house from the time he could lay the needle on the vinyl. So, rock and later metal was all I heard since I was 3yo. (Mom did take a fork and scratch out the Beatles "Maxwell's Silver Hammer" though! LOL. If she were alive to hear today's "music," she'd be spinning in her grave! (Sorry, bad joke. She died in 1986...I know where she is) =)
Even Richie....who has seen Jon sing for 20 years, was surprised at how Jon nailed this song. This was a remarkable performance. It's one of the last times Jon's voice worked so damn well.
Thank God for my getting a computer, for without it I would not have ever found Alexander Burke and Bon Jovi singing this amazing song. Also K. D. Lang. You three have made my day whenever I get down..THANK ALL OF YOU
The only version of this song outside of the Pantatonix cover that is actually worth a damn. Even over the original. Finally, a version with a robust, full voice that doesn't fall apart when it reaches the chorus or the "the fourth, the fifth, the minor falls and major lifts" line
Bon jovi was the first band I ever fell in love with they got me into music as a child was not much of a musical person so many happy memories with their songs I miss my childhood
The Angel's can't sing like this..idk..but Heaven sent
Best version of Bon Jovi singing Hallelujah. My mom had Alzheimer’s and every time it was playing on my tv on Palladia I’d turn the volume way up.

Jon Bon Jovi and his team band did an awesome job on this Hallelujah song. Jon belted it out nicely. Way to go Jon. I love this song. We all love you Jon Bon Jovi.
Tear inducing. It captures the heart. This song is often used with mis-intentions but he captures the sorrow and pain perfectly.
I think Jon could sing just about anything and have it come out as nearly a first time experience for many. He has passion, and with that, he takes you away! Best concerts ever too.
I think that he could sing the NJ phone book and make it sound good!
I so love this song no matter who sings it, it's still beautiful I love Bon Jovi, he's the real deal, and a grate guy

Myles Kennedy

“Gitarkameratene” from Norway is much much better. This sounds so diva! Kurt Nilsen is a beast.
He is one of the most adept and talented singers ever. I would give my life to able to sing like he does.
i've heard a dozen versions and being a fan of old rock i love bon jovi singing this he has his distinctive voice making this amazing
Try K.D. Lang one
K. D. 's is good but no where near as Jon 's!

No one can sing this better- thank you for this! Hallelujah ☺️🔥☺️
