I was totally at the balloon fiesta on one of those days! I live in Albuquerque, and I always try to go as often as I can. But yeah, I remember see that sort of display of fireworks.
I've lived here for 4 years now, and I can totally agree with you. And when I tell people who have lived here their whole lives that there really isn't much to do, they say there's tons to do. Maybe I'm missing something. haha
I walk out the front door of my house and see multi-colored gems floating effortlessly, silently, through the sky. Albuquerque is an amazing place to live. I'll have a video later today showing a balloon landing and being put away.
This is fantastic. I've been to the fiesta, so it's great to see what I saw, only much faster. Those Special Shape mass asscensions look different when they all fly off at once... Love that shot with the moon and the clouds. Great work!

Terrific video. I watched the balloons from a distance and drove amidst them on Paseo and in Corrales. I didn't go to Fiesta Park this year though. Thanks for putting together an awesome video of it all. The coolest part is watching the courses of the balloons, something that's not so evident to the casual observer in realtime.
I was there for this fiesta and lived there for 10 years. You all have NO IDEA what you are talking about. ABQ has the highest per capita PHD in the world! Just about everything you DO on your computer owes to this area and all your new technologies like space exploration, microwaves, radio telescopes, electric cars, nuclear power, etc is front and center in NM. I am a US Navy Submarine Nuclear power veteran and MCSE. I mov ed from NM and it was a big mistake. I for one LOVE NM
You captured some very beautiful images but the musical choice bothers me. It doesn't capture the enormity, the grandeur, or the slight humor found in the time-lapse rendering of cartoon flowers, turtles and stagecoaches floating away into the sky while throngs of humanity scurry about on the ground below.

One of the most delightful things I've ever seen. Hoorah!

Out of all the other hot air balloons in this video, Dingbat is my favorite.

Excellent! The last shot/sequence with the moon and clouds was great. From Abq local-gracias.
I was just at the 2010 fiesta and I saw a lot of the same balloons and many new ones. This was a great video!
This is so cool. It's crazy how those baloons fly in ABQ. The music makes this extra awsome.
Awwww my homestead!!!! Thank you so much for uploading this, I really miss you, ABQ ;)!!!!!!

Awesome video, especially the balloons taking off and the long exposure at the end (clouds/moon) look kind of surreal.
Awesome video. Love the timelapsed fireworks!
awesome! I lived there for 21 years, and I miss the hell out of it. I'll be there next October! count on that
This is supper cool. I was there too and posted our "Splash and Dash". But this is a great montage of the event!
That is a fantastic vid! I have been there too in 1998 ... brought back wonderful memories!
Awesome job! I'm inspired! My attempt is pretty elementary, but you picked great angles and really nailed the fireworks the second time around.
Awesome... You don't realize how much those balloons move around when you're actually there!
Looks like you shot the daytime footage from our tower (media tent) nice work.
I know what you mean I'm from California and I am moving back I can't even make it a year out here.
Wicked Awesome!
I did a series of time lapses this year. Unfortunately it was too windy for the dawn patrol and night glows for the 5 days I was there. :-(
its like watching water droplets fall up into the sky. nice video
Wow, sweet vid man. cool song too
Ha, yea, from the KOAT pad. I was on the lift for one of the shots and another was on our trailer.

i would love to have been there. for two reasons. to see the balloons, and because that's where my parents were married!!
Not all americans are slow & simple?
looks like the Koopa was wipin his ass on the crowd lmao
that was ace!
real "Duke City" natives think the "Burque" thing is pretentious and silly, it is what out of towners say when they are trying to fit in. . . .
