    Yes you would need antenna if your car doesnt come with RNS315 or other types of nav system, my car came with RNS315 system and i upgraded my system to RNS510, I dont need other antenna, all i do is hook up my oem factory antenna to a blue connector and my nav system is working without any issues,

    i just using kenwood double din old model but also have navigation button. problem is i cant use it. is that this gps module can solve my problem? just plug & play without any connection?

    What is the green socket at the top for? And the socket underneath the radio and GPS antenna?

      The other contractors are for the backup camera and the antenna

      Green socket is for SAT radio like Xm radio or SIRIUSXM.

      I for it in Amazon. Sorry I don’t have the exact link but you can just type rns 510 vw gps antenna and there are several parts there.

    Do you have a problem with reception being antenna is mounted where you put it?

      No the last time we have used the nav it was working fine. Mind you due to our phones these days we barely use the car navigation anymore

      Yeah not bad at all! We don’t use it that often given we tend to use our phones more these days but it works. I haven’t gotten around upgrading the maps yet either.

    Would help if you had a practice with a script and not all the mms and ahh’s. Turned the volume off in the end
