I'm an old guy (77). I discovered May at a free concert in Grand Haven, MI several years ago. Although she was paid little (if anything), she put her heart into it as it it was at the Grand Ole Opry. She won my appreciation, respect, and love for her music. Her songwriting is special, memorable, and heartfelt. She is truly, as @64peter15 said, a national treasure. I listen to her Mother Lion album every day.
I’ve only recently discovered the greatness of May Erlewine. Such a wonderful songwriter. I go on a little journey with every song! Just brilliant!
Very very good, May! Good lyrics and wonderful accompaniment and guitar solos by Anthony Da Costa. Thanks to both of you!
Beautiful and heart-lifting! Thnk you, sweet May Erlewine.
What an absolute pleasure!!! Loved loved loved it! Thank you! : )
Well I am absolutely very grateful your most magical mystical musical set was so healing for me I could go on and on I'll just tell you in the short I'm paranoid schizophrenic age 68 very compromised body living under the poverty level but like so many others in many ways I'm lucky or to the point is healing healing every bit of you the positivity that radiates through your songs of reality but always turning the manure into fertilizer for a better crop and I have a hard time doing that not to mention how beautiful the music is created through you breaking your bread and sharing your sorrow and your ability to steal shine is
INNspiration
Which means the breath of God
love, love, love this
Thats just beautiful
We all have a reason to thank & feel grateful to you for music wonder that you have done: There are no words that can express the debt of gratitude that future generations will owe you for your sacrifices to teach us how it is done...e
