I have been an atheist all my life until one day I decided to listen to this and try and pray. Once I finished my prayer I felt a huge overwhelming feeling and since that day have prayed every night. My family still think I am an atheist. God is great.

How true it is that God never misses the right time and the right moment to touch and re-touch our spirit. I just find out this video randomly as I tried to find more of Brooke Ligertwood. Then, I just realize that the Interviewer is the Pastor who visited my church JPCC in Indonesia in 2017. The last service where he preached was quite incidental as I could remember he was not supposed to preach at that service; I myself was about to cancel going to church that afternoon. To cut the long story short.. Ps. Rich spoke something that reassured me about the world impact God wanted to bring through me and at the same time I was also convinced to buy my very first motorbike in life. Then now, I am seeing these two people at the same stage being used by God in this video.. I think it is already super cool. But then as I submit to keep listening to the very end of video... how I become more and more amazed by God on how great He really is. The testimonies, teachings, principles shared by Brooke are like the re-statement of things that God has been telling me the past week. I would come back to my opening statement. God never misses the right time and the right moment to touch and re-touch our spirit. All glory to God!!

She obviously was referring to secular songs, because yes if you actually listen to the lyrics of secular songs they are very much like poo and it's not always the best to put those lyrics into your life. I don't know how so many people misinterpreted that. Maybe because of a cultural block? I actually sat through the ENTIRE video and it was a great video. It's crazy how many people have misinterpreted the one comment about songs. If you listen carefully her answer to the pastor's question "Song writing. Where does the initial idea come from typically for you?" And Brooke Answers "Scripture" and she goes on how to explain how she reads multiple translations of the bible. Even though she initially answers with a comparison about (secular) songs being like poop. She explained "What ever you feed yourself is what is going to come out". And obviously she is referring how worship songs are like the healthy food you put in your body. I don't want people reading through the comments and judging and assuming this is a bad video or that Brooke is comparing her worship songs to Poo. IT'S NOT TRUE. I'm curious to know if all those people who commented actually sat through the whole 34 minutes. I did and it was a great video with lots of truth.

Enjoyed Brooke's interview very much. I thought she did exceptionally well to deal with the insightful, "meaning" questions posed. Her faith is her life and calling. God bless. Much ado about the "poo" thing. My take on it was that she was being honest in answering the questions posed. A little awkwardly perhaps but we're not perfect. As she said later on, we all worship (and look at things) through our particular social lens (and social norms). Her's reflected her New Zealand origins - no airs or graces. Humility.

Some of these people here need to work on their listening & comprehension skills. She said songs are like poo, not worship songs, not worship music, not composing Christian music, but she said SONGS. What she says after that is what matters because that's the interpretation/meaning of the metaphor so you should've dwelt on that, but rather you choose to focus on poo. What's in the song is telling of what you've been feeding yourself with. Brooke is profound and deep, she definitely doesn't mean anything near God's music is poo. Please. She's beyond that. It has a context that dictates the meaning. like that, then you can easily do the same thing to Jesus when he said "you must eat my flesh and drink my blood" (John 6), or when he said "bring my enemies to me and slay them in front of me" (Luke19:27 it was a story/parable but some people have quoted it literally to discredit Jesus). The last service where he preached was quite incidental as I could remember he was not supposed to preach at that service; I myself was about to cancel going to church that afternoon. To cut the long story short.. Ps. Rich spoke something that reassured me about the world impact God wanted to bring through me and at the same time I was also convinced to buy my very first motorbike in life. Then now, I am seeing these two people at the same stage being used by God in this video.. I think it is already super cool. But then as I submit to keep listening to the very end of video... how I become more and more amazed by God on how great He really is. The testimonies, teachings, principles shared by Brooke are like the re-statement of things that God has been telling me the past week. I would come back to my opening statement. God never misses the right time and the right moment to touch and re-touch our spirit. All glory to God!!

Brooke said "What ever you feed yourself with is what is going to come out". She obviously was referring to secular songs, because yes if you actually listen to the lyrics of secular songs they are very much like poo and it's not always the best to put those lyrics into your life. I don't know how so many people misinterpreted that. Maybe because of a cultural block? I actually sat through the ENTIRE video and it was a great video.
It's crazy how many people have misinterpreted the one comment about songs. If you listen carefully her answer to the pastor's question "Song writing. Where does the initial idea come from typically for you?" And Brooke Answers "Scripture" and she goes on how to explain how she reads multiple translations of the bible. Even though she initially answers with a comparison about (secular) songs being like poop. She explained "What ever you feed yourself is what is going to come out". And obviously she is referring how worship songs are like the healthy food you put in your body.
I don't want people reading through the comments and judging and assuming this is a bad video or that Brooke is comparing her worship songs to Poo. IT'S NOT TRUE. I'm curious to know if all those people who commented actually sat through the whole 34 minutes. I did and it was a great video with lots of truth.

Much ado about the "poo" thing. My take on it was that she was being honest in answering the questions posed. A little awkwardly perhaps but we're not perfect. As she said later on, we all worship (and look at things) through our particular social lens (and social norms). Her's reflected her New Zealand origins - no airs or graces. Humility.
I do that all the time!! When I’m baking my cakes or stirring a pot to cook or what fruit is good in the market, I ask the holy spirit, I thought it was silly but now I know it’s a way of communicating with our extraordinary friend

Only person that has active and chased by dreams and achieve them gets to say that. We are not supposed to follow big worldly dreams but that’s what the whole Pentecostal church has been about so funny she gets to flip it on its head after she’s done the same thing her whole life. She literally spent 2 years on a tour promoting this book: “Houston is strongest when speaking about his own experiences-he knew he wanted to minister from an early age and worked 11 jobs during high school to pay for Bible college-and using them to illustrate how great things come to those who have patience, faith, and big dreams”

Some of these people here need to work on their listening & comprehension skills. She said songs are like poo, not worship songs, not worship music, not composing Christian music, but she said SONGS. What she says after that is what matters because that's the interpretation/meaning of the metaphor so you should've dwelt on that, but rather you choose to focus on poo. What's in the song is telling of what you've been feeding yourself with. Brooke is profound and deep, she definitely doesn't mean anything near God's music is poo. Please. She's beyond that. Look at how she's written the songs, it's a result of her relationship with God & knowledge of the Word. Don't be shallow guys. I feel that some people here already came here harbouring bitterness and ready to pass judgment towards Hillsong or Brooke. Well i guess if you're looking for offenses, you will find it.

Listen, What she said about poo is supposed to be an illustration of the main point that what you feed yourself is what comes out of you, it was not the main point.
It has a context that dictates the meaning. like that, then you can easily do the same thing to Jesus when he said "you must eat my flesh and drink my blood" (John 6), or when he said "bring my enemies to me and slay them in front of me" (Luke19:27 it was a story/parable but some people have quoted it literally to discredit Jesus). Ask for Holy Spirit to speak to you
