Blue Jean Operator's IK-103 video: th-cam.com/video/PEvLSFX10ho/w-d-xo.html The deep lore ARFCOM thread: www.ar15.com/forums/AK-47/-ARCHIVED-THREAD-Dog-Leg-scope-rail/56-111659/?page=1
I discovered TWS a couple of months ago and immediately ditched my $120 Midwest Industries side rail for the TWS Dog Leg Rail on my WASR 10/63. Then watched these videos and I wanted the TWS hand guard bad so, I just ditched my $100 Magpul Zhukov S hand guard with $25 Talon Pro grip tape for the TWS hand guard. Ditched my $30 steel charging handle add-on for the TWS Hob Knob too. Now I’m considering ditching my $100 Magpul Zhukov side folding stock for the TWS stock 😂 My WASR is a ‘83 manufactured model and the precision machining of TWS parts really fit extremely well and has all of the necessary adjustments that were needed for installation and reliable fit and return to zero for the unimpressive machining and QC and alignment that plagued Romanian WASR’s from the period. One of my next projects is going to be taking my WASR to my preferred local gunsmith to straighten and true up the front and rear gas blocks and the front sight. Then check my muzzle threads for concentricity and rethread if needed, preferably with 5/8 threads, and tune the gas system for less excess gas and more suppressor capable. After that I’ll be eying their IK-103 until I can get it into my hands and take it home with me. Love TWS and will continue staying up to date with their projects and product releases. Glad to be a loyal customer for life to a proud U.S. company like TWS!
Just put a Dog leg Rail on my AK last week, looks great and gives it just that little flexibility in adding dots or scope. And frees up my front rail better for a light. Perfect fit out of the box on my AK, did not need to adjust the tension or anything also. (did need to get a new e-clip, but i kind of knew that would happen before i started, haha )
Any chance future models will offer 1913 stock options? As great as the AR15 buffer tube pattern is and as many options as it allows, I think 1913 would get us even more. From a quick glance it looks like Sharps Bros has a milled 1913 receiver available as well (MB47-1913). The IK is definitely going to be my next choice in the Kalashnikov. I love the whole package.
We do have options for the draco, in fact we've had them since day one! the Russian pattern version of the Dog Leg Rail, PN: 33310, fits the Draco and Mini Draco. We also have a Dog Leg Rail, PN: 33312, for the Yugo pattern rifles. Those were actually the first two versions we introduced all those years ago! Check the compatibility matrix on our website to double check compatibility with your specific rifle.
Funny how people just don’t understand that a regular Draco is just a short barreled AKM and thus compatible with any AKM top cover, gas tube or furniture.
Moving back to Texas next year, can’t wait. Big fan of AK’s and Blue Gene Operator, and also airsoft guns, and car racing. I think i see an airsoft version of your platform in your future @realdealairsoft @Polarstar

Great stuff. Are you planning on making that gas block a separate product?

We're exploring this option.
Not a fan of tactical AK's by any means, but that's a good looking rifle.
That's too bad cuz tactical does more and are more capable than non tactical but I get your meaning.
I'm glad you like it!
Is this a rebranded Sharps Bros. milled receiver TWS is using???
The draco why won't you cover such a popular model?? Also no yugo kits at the prices you're charging? Both are really in need of a modern system
