RALPH WAITE was a very under rated actor - -A great man in his actual life - and he is always thought of every day and night - !

This was very bold and forthright. Ralph Waite obviously cared about helping people.

He was an excellent actor!! He was so good on The Walttons I felt like I was looking through the window watching the family. They all had such good chemistry! I still watch the show daily.

Me too Rachel. He's s amazing even with frailties. I love his honesty. I love his message. I'm taking it to heart. I heard you live in new Milford. I was born there and just moved back to Washington. If you ever would like to get a cup if tea that would be fun. I'm having a hard time moving back

When I heard he died I cried as if he was my father. I grew up in a very very abusive home. My only happy times were in Thursday night. That’s where I learned to be a decent human being. When my father died I never shed a tear. But when Ralph weight died I cried for two weeks

Ralph Waite was a superb actor and did a wonderful job portraiting John Walton. The character he portraited was what a husband and father should be and can be in this life with the help of Jesus Christ. You can have that too by asking Jesus into your heart today. Alcoholic Anonymous is what helped Ralph out of his alcoholism. I wish Ralph had won an Emmy for the Waltons because he certainly deserved it. God bless him and everyone involved in his recovery.

Mr. Ralph Waite was a great actor and I love the Waltons. He was so generous to help others with a drinking problem. He is an inspiration. He was the best dad on television. Grace from Canada ❤

Mr. Waite seemed so comfortable in front of the camera, he was a natural. For Mr. Waite to share his personal issues and be so candid, especially for that period in time, is Absolutely Awesome. He was very comfortable with himself, no ego, very humble and understanding. That's One reason why the Walons did so well, Mr. Waite was loved by so many and he was playing himself.

Once it gets to the point where they have to start plugging AA, than it's all the same. I'm surprised these actors, in these interviews, don't stop and ask the host, if they could start an impromptu AA meeting. I thought these AA guys were supposed to be low key, about their going to it, But now, it seems like every one of them that goes to AA, has to billboard it, as much as they can. That's why I consider it as cultish, by the way it changes all these people and how seemingly rabid they have to become about it. I've never been able to take anyone I know, who goes to AA, anywhere. All they want to do is talk about AA, and nothing else.
