You _really_ need to 100% let go of ego when you're out in nature. Nature _will_ kill you if you're making bad decisions. There's _nothing_ wrong with turning back. Those who turn back from the mountain live to climb another day. Please take this lesson to heart.
So true. I live in Colorado, and these mountains can kill you in a heartbeat (if you are not extremely experienced)! Mechanical injuries, hypothermia, wild animals, rock slides… I’m glad they are okay, but continuing on was really dumb! A lot of that was “technical” climbing (OFF TRAIL). You can actually get to a point where you can’t continue, and turning back can be even more dangerous (especially when down-climbing)! I have had friends die out there!
@@coloradokid8321 I 100% agree. It doesn't even need to be inexperience, either. Go up the mountain without paying strict attention to the weather or routing and it can be a life-ending experience. In my experience, one bad decision generally leads to more. One bad decision seldom kills; a cascade of bad decisions often does. For people unaccustomed to mountaineering or sailing, take note that the oceans and mountains are savage with regard to inattention. Don't make the mistake of poor planning and ego-driven decisions. Both realms will happily repay haphazard outings by getting you lost, injured, stranded or dead. Neither realm is the place to be casually trusting Source to see you to your destination unscathed.

This might be my favorite video ever. I am going to watch it again. I love that so many young women realize that they can have adventures on their own and take care of themselves. I realize that sometimes you get lonely by yourself...try to build in mini vacations/traveling every few months and in-between invite your friends to come visit for a weekend..I think you will find that you are enough just by being you...

So many things that I could comment on from the fresh water which I kept wondering if it was ok to drink but them with moutain water, why not. Dear Isabel, sending you so much support while you navigate your relationship journey. Switzerland is stunning! I miss Europe. I'm happy to hear that you're taking more precautions on hikes, sometimes the smallest thing can become dangerous. I encountered that on several long distance (200 mile) hikes, I missed where a trail changed direction, got lost and got hypothermia. I'm lucky to have found my way out only due to my hiking partner and some luck.
I am amazed of the quality of these last hiking videos. Knowing how hard it is to do something else than hiking and being safe in the mountains, I find that it is so much work to post so many beautiful moments about the hike 😮❤ your skills are amazing !

Rule #1 in mountain hiking, plan the route exactly, carry the proper equipment, check the weather. Every year hundreds of tourists have to be rescued, because they are not prepared. And not all of them are rescued alive...
Yes my thoughts exactly. Its good to be adventurous but wise as well. Letting someone know where your going so they can raise the alarm if necessary. And the right gear is crucial.

Sometime people can be deeply in love and over time, find out that love is not enough and that lifestyle & personality traits are not compatible for the long haul. It happens. I met “the one” (my now-husband) when I was in my early 30’s. We would not have been compatible in my 20’s - I was too wild & free for him. Meeting him in my 30’s I was ready to settle down. At 4:26 you can see a white and blue painted "blaze" (trail marker) to the left of Hitomi's head. If you guys would have known Switzerland's hiking trail colors, you would have known that you shouldn't have gone any further. - As you experienced... White & Blue trail colors mean you need not only special mountaineering/rock climbing skills but special rock climbing equipment. Also, always take a paper trail map and a topo map and place them inside a zip lock bag with a compass...don't not rely upon technology since you can break or lose your phones or not have any service. - 🏔Switzerland is an awesome place to hike for those who know and understand their mountains! (I lived in Europe for 5 years and have climbed many of Switzerland's trails. If you ever plan on going back to climb more of their awesome mountains, please prepare yourself first so that you have an awesome SAFE adventure! (Sorry to hear about you and Logan. May you each find your true paths whether together or apart.)💛💛
I noticed the marker but didn't know what it meant but when she mentioned the trail I had a feeling it was a dangerous one and them not having gear to attach themselves was quite dangerous I am so glad that neither one of them got hurt or slipped because that would have been a very long fall one that possibly would have been the end.
The colour coding applies to the whole Alps (not just Switzerland) and it’s basic knowledge that you must have before embarking on any trip. Having said that, you took the right decision to go back. Well done ladies 💯
Tell me about technology😂 last weekend me and my girlfriend went on a not so special hike but the mobile phone send us in all the wrong directions so started just following the roads and ignored the phone and it went well then
One thing I learnt at 40 I wasted my love loving the wrong people. I wish I knew that when I was in my 20s. Cause I wouldn’t of been more happier. You do what makes you happy ❤

Switzerland is sooo beautiful! I love the spirit or the vibe of the mountains, the Alps. Do happy you didn't go any further up that trail that you weren't on. The Alos, the Rockys, are the real deal and we font fool around with mother nature. You two made the best decision. This was so Beautiful! I am so glad you are experiencing this! I lived like that for a few years. Only in America though. I lived in the Colorado mountain's and the Sandia's in New Mexico. Yes, Crows are messengers. Like owls they often appear at crossroads either giving direction or blocking a path. They communicate well with kindred species and have often helped me with my hikes and travels. Also Dears, this has been a huge time astrologically. During summer i come to my future house one month in abandoned village ( 6 widows around me ) ( im single only one in my forthies) so in abandoned house two howls come to live (15-10 years) so .. one of them are so annoying ; she argue with all neighbour and sometimes she wake up us during the night . I wonder so many years meaning of her presence here .just to note that is small one ; like pigeoun , not big one .
@@skyblue-lb9kr no they are ok : they have nest probably in houses around . But now it is storm and rain and just before she was soo loud as hunters doggos and cow . But i have good feeling for her . There are lot of that kind of howls here small one and very loud . If they see you : they start arguing 😂😂😂

I wish Logan the very best. I have been thinking for some time. How in the beginning of the journey you shared. You were always hiking and how you were doing so much less of that. You yoga. You were involved in a wicken group.. and how you just seemed to be less light. Which change is normal. But this video seems to have you back in that positive energy connected with nature. I'm in my 59s and honestly being single is amazing. I'm not anti relationships. But, it's just very freeing to only have to consider your own wants and desires. Enjoy this time.❤
The best piece of advice I was ever given is “keep putting one foot in front of the other”. As a backpacker it’s gotten me through so many of life’s struggles. So no matter where you are Isabel, keep putting one foot in front of the other.

I realize that sometimes you get lonely by yourself...try to build in mini vacations/traveling every few months and in-between invite your friends to come visit for a weekend..I think you will find that you are enough just by being you...

So many things that I could comment on from the fresh water which I kept wondering if it was ok to drink but them with moutain water, why not. Dear Isabel, sending you so much support while you navigate your relationship journey. Switzerland is stunning! I miss Europe. I'm happy to hear that you're taking more precautions on hikes, sometimes the smallest thing can become dangerous. I encountered that on several long distance (200 mile) hikes, I missed where a trail changed direction, got lost and got hypothermia. I'm lucky to have found my way out only due to my hiking partner and some luck.

Rule #1 in mountain hiking, plan the route exactly, carry the proper equipment, check the weather. Every year hundreds of tourists have to be rescued, because they are not prepared. And not all of them are rescued alive...
Yes my thoughts exactly. Its good to be adventurous but wise as well. Letting someone know where your going so they can raise the alarm if necessary. And the right gear is crucial.

Sometime people can be deeply in love and over time, find out that love is not enough and that lifestyle & personality traits are not compatible for the long haul. It happens. I met “the one” (my now-husband) when I was in my early 30’s. We would not have been compatible in my 20’s - I was too wild & free for him. Meeting him in my 30’s I was ready to settle down. At 4:26 you can see a white and blue painted "blaze" (trail marker) to the left of Hitomi's head. If you guys would have known Switzerland's hiking trail colors, you would have known that you shouldn't have gone any further. - As you experienced... White & Blue trail colors mean you need not only special mountaineering/rock climbing skills but special rock climbing equipment. Also, always take a paper trail map and a topo map and place them inside a zip lock bag with a compass...don't not rely upon technology since you can break or lose your phones or not have any service. - 🏔Switzerland is an awesome place to hike for those who know and understand their mountains! (I lived in Europe for 5 years and have climbed many of Switzerland's trails. If you ever plan on going back to climb more of their awesome mountains, please prepare yourself first so that you have an awesome SAFE adventure! (Sorry to hear about you and Logan. May you each find your true paths whether together or apart.)💛💛
I noticed the marker but didn't know what it meant but when she mentioned the trail I had a feeling it was a dangerous one and them not having gear to attach themselves was quite dangerous I am so glad that neither one of them got hurt or slipped because that would have been a very long fall one that possibly would have been the end.
The colour coding applies to the whole Alps (not just Switzerland) and it’s basic knowledge that you must have before embarking on any trip.
Having said that, you took the right decision to go back. Well done ladies 💯

Switzerland is sooo beautiful! I love the spirit or the vibe of the mountains, the Alps. Do happy you didn't go any further up that trail that you weren't on. The Alos, the Rockys, are the real deal and we font fool around with mother nature. You two made the best decision. This was so Beautiful! I am so glad you are experiencing this! I lived like that for a few years. Only in America though. I lived in the Colorado mountain's and the Sandia's in New Mexico. During summer i come to my future house one month in abandoned village ( 6 widows around me ) ( im single only one in my forthies) so in abandoned house two howls come to live (15-10 years) so .. one of them are so annoying ; she argue with all neighbour and sometimes she wake up us during the night . I wonder so many years meaning of her presence here .just to note that is small one ; like pigeoun , not big one .

I wish Logan the very best. I have been thinking for some time. How in the beginning of the journey you shared. You were always hiking and how you were doing so much less of that. You yoga. You were involved in a wicken group.. and how you just seemed to be less light. Which change is normal. But this video seems to have you back in that positive energy connected with nature. I'm in my 59s and honestly being single is amazing. I'm not anti relationships. But, it's just very freeing to only have to consider your own wants and desires. Enjoy this time.❤
The best piece of advice I was ever given is “keep putting one foot in front of the other”. As a backpacker it’s gotten me through so many of life’s struggles. So no matter where you are Isabel, keep putting one foot in front of the other.
