Congratulations B, Great. I like to have a prop like this 😊 I think the hatch needs mabe in the front longer pins. Often the mono hatches have to much flexibility in the front at the round spot. So they come out in the front by closed locking in the back. And the front gets more force from the water by an impact on it or by diving. Taping the front is most times more helpful than the back. That’s my experience. 👋🏻😊
I think Proboat should switch over to rubber canopy seals. Cause the foam seals don't cut it. I have the same issue with the Zelos 36. And it kinda suprised me you got 60 out of that Das boata prop, and nothing else seems to come close!
I ended up removing the antenna and the rear mounted water outlets so I can tape it since I run in saltwater. No more water in the boat. Thought it was coming from the stuffing tube.
Hey man , I got my blackjack 24” to 57.9 today. It did a triple backflip at 53mph the run before.🤦♂️. I put a 120 amp esc in so I was able to run two 3s 130c batteries. I made some adjustments to the to the propeller lowering it? I ran out of room I’m guessing I can hit 60mph ? I am using a 43mm propeller I sharpened and balanced. I would have waisted a lot of time trying to figure out how to adjust the different components. If not for your channel I would have waisted money and time so thanks for sharing your experience. The triple back flip was epic this boat can take a few oops very forgiving. I need to find a bigger pond to hit 60mph I barely fit 47.9 in .😂
Hello, I just got the recoil 2, 18" and took it out for it's maiden voyage, well after about 30 seconds it wouldn't steer left... somehow the servo became un-glued (crappy factory job??) just wondering what product you would recommend to re-stick the servo/plastic mounting bracket!
I just ran my bj24 v2 for the first time today. I really like it. I have twp 2s 5200 120c packs and got 40mph out of the box. It seems to be snappy on right turns , it will spin out. Did you have that. It also seems a little more side to side wobbly than the og bj24. But i absolutely love it.
You were teasing us with this one , Big B !! What is that super duper 3rd black boat ? It looks like a power house . Will you be putting her in the water soon ? Enjoyed this video. Thank you

Great video and great boat! I bought mine today and want to bind it with my DX5 Rugged. How does self-rightening work with a different control?
You use the throttle trigger to rock the boat back and forth, actually works better than the self righting button
Thanks for the quick reply! I'll charge the batteries tomorrow and bind my DX5 and then off to the lake.
Greetings from Switzerland
Yeah buddy stoked my hobby shop got both my freaking blackjacks in going to go down pick them this morning

I just did the same to mine, put a 120 in it this evening, install upload tomorrow morning, running video the next day

CA, jb plastic weld, quality epoxy. Should do the trick
Stick the 120 and prop from your 81mph Veles run in it.
I have a oxidine marine 36mm 1.6 pitch 3/16" bore 3616 CNC laying around and i was wondering if you though that could work well with the recoil 2 18
I actually tested that prop on the R18 it handled it pretty good 👍
@@IRONCLADRC So if I run this larger prop and 3s 80C you don’t think that would be too much stress on the stock components?

Yeah, I turned the dual rate back considerably, also learned it turns better on plane
Side note....
I wonder if we could get away with adding a thin bead of clear silicone sealant to the foam gasket to prevent leakage?
Just a thought.
I have some saddle tape coming for the hatch seal

It's the carbon fiber oxidean dominator
I like the prop testing
can you run the stock shreddy on 2s? I want to run it at slower speeds with like a 5000mah 2s and use the The R/C Fishing Pole with it
@@chaoticsource yes
@@chaoticsource yes, you'll get like 20 25mph
would the proboat recoil 2 be able to run in the beach with the salt water and all?
Only if you check for water leaks in fresh water first, if there's a leak find it and fix it before going to salt water
How u think the blackjack would like two 4s packs on each side for more run time
Only one way to find out? Gonna make it heavy, heavy boats tend to be slow boats
May I ask what tape is that call?
Clear Hockey Tape - Multipurpose Tape Roll - Durable Shin Guard Pad Socks and Gear Tape - Strong adhesive Easy to Stretch & Apply - Hokey Sports Gifts, Accessories, Equipment, Gear a.co/d/0h5B7nAQ
@@IRONCLADRC Thank you very much !!!!!!
It sure is a pain when manufactureres place things like water outlets or antenna mounts to close to hatches re taping hatches.
I agree, almost like they intended the hatch to actually seal without tape
Is the recoil all plastic or fiberglass.
Plastic.
Yep, it's a plastic hull
Your missing the antenna tube on the recoil 18 make sure u plug that hole or replace it
I removed the antenna and plugged the thruhull
