The best flight I have had been on is with Finnair on their A350 (OH-LWL). The aircraft comfort was amazing and the service was fantastic. I have been on Emirates A380 and 777 many times, and I have been with Singapore, Thai and SAS. And Finnair have been my best experience overall. Btw, I'm from Denmark 😁
Helsinki has currently quite many bus gates, because the plane gate areas are going through major renovations. Heavies never are bus gates when all gates are operational.
We always used to fly with Finnair, from Berlin, over Helsinki to Seoul. I always really enjoyed the flights with them and hopefully I can make that trip next year again. ☺️

I think you and I are the only humans left on the planet who know the word and aren't afraid to use it. However, when I use it, it is with a picante venom-......that is, if salsa would ever be flavoured with a neuro-toxin. While my Tex-Mex friends have always fed me safely and well, there may be a venomous salsa out there....

Had my upcoming Finnair flight HEL-LHR on the a350 swapped for an a330. Qatar pulled the same move with the same aircraft on my DOH-SIN trip. Those a350s are proving to be pretty elusive for me.

I'm curious to see the new lounges. The new Premium lounge has got positive reviews, the Business lounge is partly under construction still still but looking good. I like the desing, Nordic style with a new twist.

I'm not an MD yet, just a MD student on a research year. So here are my under-qualified thoughts on the matter: The only reason I wipe down tray tables sometimes is for my shots to look clean and to give the airline some credit. Unless you're going to be eating food straight off of the table, I personally don't see a reason to wipe it down given you're a healthy adult. Wiping down anything else also seems kinda futile to me, and is honestly a little embarrassing. I think the most important things are to wash your hands often if you can, use hand sanitizer when otherwise unable, and avoid touching your face with your hands. Also, it's a good idea to give all your clothes a hot wash after you get home and take a shower before going to bed. The easiest things to catch on an airplane are the airborne germs, as the humidity isn't great in airplane cabins, thus your nose doesn't do a great job filtering out pathogens. Stay hydrated so your nasal mucous is maintained, and if the plane has individual air vents, keep at least a little bit of airflow pointed at yourself, since that air is filtered to the same standards as hospitals. Also, some people use bottled water to brush their teeth on airplanes, I've personally given up at this point. Fingers crossed.
Entirely forgot that I was watching air travel reviews (i.e. Airline Porn) in favor of comedy. A great remedy for a stressful day... subscribed and will be binge-watching on tomorrow's SFO-BOS Alaska First Class (not expecting much due to the pandemic). Thanks!

In a humorous way you mentioned that this company is keeping up the 60s spirit for 50 years. Check them out they have a different approach on design. It is all about nature and sustainability. Speaking of sustainability the Glas you drank out of.... Again a design originated from Finn air’s Inaugural flight to New York... Seems to be a tradition. Check it out 🤗

Very detailed trip report. I was right to believe Finnair outclasses North American airliners which are third world. Although I personally think the western breakfast looks much appetizing than the Asian one and the dinner. And yeah I also think the Airbus 350 is much cooler than the Airbus 330.

1) Shower
2) Sleeping room
3) Food

Yikes! I took Finnair Business class 5 years ago from Bangkok to Italy, and it was wonderful experience. The cabin didn’t look anything like yours.
