I was sold when I saw you dressed up as Macho Man at your own wedding !! Keep up the good work. I’m going through these older rumbles with you and it is great fun. You are super entertaining 😊

I'm a new subscriber and former professional broadcaster/voice over artist, just wanted to say I love the content, production value, and personality!! Keep up the great work, and thank you for keeping us all entertained!
Wow. “Fightville” story: Dustin’s opponent in the documentary, Ronny Lis, was my old BJJ coach in Austin, Tx. Crazy stuff. Six degrees of separation. I don’t know too many people who watched that documentary. It’s crazy you went to a private viewing party. Also, Avril Lavigne and the guy from Sum-41 were married. But wait…. London, Ontario?? Have you seen the stand up comedian Tom Segura’s bit about “A Strip Club named Beef”? Apparently it’s in London, Ontario. Check it out.
With all of the crazy glitch eliminations this season, you could probably fill an entire last chance rumble. Great one as always, love all the stories!
Even tho Jaromír Jágr isnt too hard to say, you still nailed it perfectly. I am glad that some czech guys are also known in other countries. Cheers from Czech rep and congratz for first place in international. :)
This was a fun Rumble Ricky I really enjoyed hearing the stories of how you met the celebrities. I always look forward to your videos keep up the great work brother
In the Early 2000s the WWE came to Redding, CA. (Probably about 1500 people packed the convention center) twice. I could share stories for HOURS. As far as the nicest wrestler, it was without a doubt Paul London. He hung out in the parking lot area were the wrestlers came in to the arena. He talked with us for a good 15 minutes and was just genuinely happy to live his dream. Shortly after that he and Billy Kidman teamed up and got the Tag Team titles. I couldn't have been happier for them
That move you were referring to is the "Bulldogging Headlock." One of my favorite classic moves, along with the Double Axe Handle from the top turnbuckle. I just noticed that in the Alexa Bliss episode of Celtic Warrior Workouts, Sheamus has on a GSP shirt! Although Alexa has on no makeup, you can tell she's Canadian ; D
So frickin cool you got to meet all these people. You really should do some sort of podcast or just audio if you wanted talking About all of these experiences more in depth. I'd listen/ watch for sure
that was so much fun!!! made me start making a list of famous people ive met lol sorry im a bit behind but im catching up!!!! keep it up ricky j. always entertaining brother!

WOW, Scott Hall almost actually WON a Rumble!? Already better then all of last year's performances combined! xD Congrats to Bret Hart. A worthy addition to the Champions Rumble later! PS: Btw, Happy New Year to you Ricky!
As soon as I saw bob probert, as a ranger fan, I immediately thought of Tie Domi and then of course you mentioned him. Good memories of the old enforcers of hockey
YES!!! Bret Hart won! Hands down my favorite pro wrestler of all time! Late childhood hero! Only Randy Savage and Roddy Piper ever came close. Hope to maybe meet him one day. 😃
Woot woot! Bret Hart won it! The Excellence of Execution! I also have some celebrity stories too. I worked as a bus driver for Alamo Rent A Car many years ago picking up many celebrities and picking up wrestlers all the time when a WWF/E event happened and once a Friday Smack Down event/recording. Then started as a volunteer a few years after I left Alamo back then for Albuquerque Comic Con now I'm an employee of ABQ. Comic Con (Gaming Coordinator).

Interesting stories though, I must say. Kinda reminds me of some of the stories dad use to tell us about the people who would come into the Blockbuster he worked at. You couldn’t have had a pair of wrestling legends as the final two! Bret wins and Razor has his best rumble without winning! Yes Ovechkin should get another chance in the last chance rumble! Talking about the toughest fighters in the NHL, I would argue for Dave Semenko (Gretzky's body guard on the ice) and Dave "the Hammer" Schultz from the mid 70's Flyers (Single Season Penalty minute record holder).

We never forget those firsts in our lives, whether we wished we had more to say at the time or the fact just meeting that one individual we looked up to face-to-face means more than what words can describe. In which case, twenty nine men and one woman who essentially were a part of one man’s life have come together inside that very ring to compete for a shot at the champion’s rumble. Not all of them are professional wrestlers, but the presence they made the moment their names were announced made it very clear they had a ton of fight. Most of whom had fought for a spot in the champions rumble previously, but the majority of whom winded up tasting utter defeat… until tonight… At the height of a fresh new year, a ‘Hitman’ finally secured his place into the champion’s rumble after many seasons of monumental effort. Yes folks, we’re not talking about Stu Hart (Who already appeared in a champion’s rumble previously) I’m talking another man, myth and legend… Bret Hart. We all know him as ‘The best there is, the best there was, and the best there’ll ever will be’. We all know he’s that great of a guy, but for a while when it comes to seeing him in these rumbles it would never cross our minds we’d be seeing him in the season finale… much less any closer than Scott Hall has had in all the endeavors he’s had. But in a dream finale on this one match, Bret overcame insurmountable odds to finally live the dream of competing amongst champions. Now can he pull off the biggest win of his career by becoming the third individual to win the champion’s rumble? We’ve seen him overcome many tremendous odds before, but how he wins the match depends on how bad he wants that dream to become a reality. Now who was my MVP of this Celebrity rumble? Let’s get down to the numbers: Of the thirty competitors Ricky J. has met in his life, sixteen competitors scored the majority of the eliminations (That’s fifteen male competitors and one lovely Trish Stratus). The highest count of the night reached up to ‘3’ eliminations, which is but two points higher than the average ‘1’ elimination. Not necessarily the highest elimination count we’ve seen in the series, but at least nearly half of this entire roster really put their best foot forward in this bout. For the Golden MVP Award, it’s been narrowed down to ‘four’ competitors: Our winning superstar Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart Michael Bisping Edge Mauro Ranallo While Bret’s performance was highly impressive, especially given the fact he won the match, in the end it came down to not only who eliminated the most competition but also who lasted the ‘longest’. For the following reasons, between the three remaining stars in my count, I have to give the award to the opportunistic one himself… ‘Edge’. Not to take anything away from the two remaining competitors. Bisping turned out to be a really strong adversary as one of the last remaining stars in the match, whereas Mauro’s rapid eliminations in succession had me seeing this commentator under a new light. But what made me really lean more toward Edge was the fact that just like the actual competitor, he knew when to pick his spots when it counted and the way he handled himself we’d almost assume he could’ve gone on to the finale. It just goes to show that someone like Edge definitely hasn’t lost his touch. Now according to my charts, you may notice I didn’t make mention of one other star with the same score. That’s because this is the moment where we bring up the Dull Participation Medal for the ‘lamest’ performance. Originally, I was going to give the Medal to Rocky Maivia as once again his performance in a rumble was pretty underwhelming despite being an amazing competitor. But then this one moment happened, I couldn’t ignore it and so… the medal ended up going to the hocky great Alexander Ovechkin. Now I’m not a big follower on hockey, but I can respect those who sees this man as one of the best to ever hit the ice. And during this match, we truly saw him putting on his best against every competitor who stood in the ring with him. I actually almost thought he could’ve gone on to eliminate more competitors and perhaps go all the way to the end… and then he eliminated himself. It always bugs me when that happens, which is something given how buggy this game clearly is. But because it’s a one shot only event, the fact is Ovechkin really screwed himself of potentially becoming a future champion and that one botch on his part I simply cannot ignore (No matter how harsh it may sound). The only true positive note I can give about Alexander is if he’s fortunate enough to be granted a second chance in any remaining rumbles still to come before the finale. Otherwise… he’s better off keeping his feet on the ice where it belongs. Only three days come upon us since 2023 officially began. What more exciting action can we expect to happen? Who will make the most of their second opportunities to secure a place in the champion’s rumble? And above all, will we see a third superstar win the season finale? Or will this new year be the start of Thanos’ continuing dominance as he goes on to possibly become a 2x Champion’s Rumble winner? Only time will tell.
for me your writings here are like a page in the comic book version of the rumble i just watched. you give intrigue and a seriousness that commands respect. sometimes i think you're an ai bot. it's that good

and CANADA'S FAVORITE SON WON THE RUMBLE!
Literally my two favorite wrestlers of all time in the final 2.
love it brother, I almost hit Bret Hart with my car going into Mike Miles gym. Sorry Bret, it was super congested and I was stressed and didn't see you :(
Talking about the toughest fighters in the NHL, I would argue for Dave Semenko (Gretzky's body guard on the ice) and Dave "the Hammer" Schultz from the mid 70's Flyers (Single Season Penalty minute record holder).
I really love your stories
Great stories and what a final was actually rooting for Scott Hall
I've met a few wrestlers myself, sadly they're all dead, I met Boss Man, Superfly, one of the Moondogs, Eddie Guerrero and Captain Lou Albano.
Scott Hall!! Final three!!
Man, I was really rooting for the Bad Guy. That's been his best showing I think. rip Scott Hall.
Finally my favourite wrestler of all time wins. Poor Scott Hall/Razor doesn't win again...

It is an unforgettable feeling when at some point we meet one of our celebrities, which is a rarity in that of itself. Most of whom had fought for a spot in the champions rumble previously, but the majority of whom winded up tasting utter defeat… until tonight…
At the height of a fresh new year, a ‘Hitman’ finally secured his place into the champion’s rumble after many seasons of monumental effort.
Let’s get down to the numbers:
Of the thirty competitors Ricky J. has met in his life, sixteen competitors scored the majority of the eliminations (That’s fifteen male competitors and one lovely Trish Stratus). The highest count of the night reached up to ‘3’ eliminations, which is but two points higher than the average ‘1’ elimination. Not necessarily the highest elimination count we’ve seen in the series, but at least nearly half of this entire roster really put their best foot forward in this bout.
For the Golden MVP Award, it’s been narrowed down to ‘four’ competitors:
Our winning superstar Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart
Michael Bisping
Edge
Mauro Ranallo
While Bret’s performance was highly impressive, especially given the fact he won the match, in the end it came down to not only who eliminated the most competition but also who lasted the ‘longest’.
Excellent summary. Bret will be a problem in the Champ rumble.
