This is the single most Dwarven thing I have ever seen in an anime, and it's being performed by a rabbit.
That doesn't look like a rabbit to me. That looks like a Dwarf that's been cursed by some knife-ear witch.
@@PhycoKrusk yep,he nearly as wide as he talk very dwarflike
I agree. This was the epitome of dwarf forge
The rabbits of Rabituza are 100% dwarves
Not surprising, rabbits are also fond of Diggy Diggy Hole

Such a beautiful line.

I doubt he could have. Too captivating.

This is the sort of thing where Anime can transent the manga source material, to give deapth that text and still images can't. It also neatly highlights the need to good voice acting and music/sound talent.
Been a while since I was captivated by an anime scene like this that did the source material better. HxH end was one of the examples I gave to others
@@MrLurch133 Yeah. I mean, its not rare to have people singing in anime, BUT what is rare is that its a base machine like this guy, and not being K-pop and super flashy. This felt almost traditional, and understated.
One piece - Brook song New world ,🕺
Teru's song
That's the only reason the Fairy Tail Anime is worth anything. The soundtrack is a banger and adds so much feeling to the scenes.
As a gamer who has a blacksmith job in games i can relate to this actually singing or hearing music gets me motivated to work and do many things.
Ikr it's just way to good to see such a motivational song in an anime btw what games are they

WHAT BRILLIANT GAME DESIGN!
True that.
truly a god game-
Imagine this was a rhythm mini game, hitting the button in time with the strikes and if you get perfect you’ll get extra buffs for the sword
@@pandanoko729 Haven't watched the anime, but I actually thought he was singing to help with a blacksmith minigame since the magic circles looked like a button prompt.
@@pandanoko729 It's almost better that it isn't. I know that it would lose a lot of its magic if I had to focus on minigame inputs during a scene like this.
wow this is so rare to see blacksmith had a shanty , like sailor shanty.
blacksmith shanties actually used to be extremely common throughout history, the cadence of the song helped a lot of blacksmiths focus on the timing of strikes
@@Dumebi2 for Modern perspectives it kind like formula to make good sword or other weapons, that just only my opinion, other country maybe had different version who know.
You could also prob use the song to tell how long you can hammer til you need to fan the flames. Just to get another verse in lol.
I wish people would post their blacksmithin songs
To those who don't know the amazing context for these types of songs, blacksmithing requires a true rhythm to it. You have to in order to make the blade evenly balanced.
The history and culture of Katana having hymns sung and pounded in with each strike to make it stronger over the course of it's making is a wonderful thing that should absolutely be in more fantasy series!
Wasn't unique to Japan. Smiths singing or humming songs to keep rhythm is actually near-universal.
medieval blacksmiths were actually very jealous of their smithing techniques and so encripted them on song. the rhythms of hammering the matel and the time needed for the iron to cool in water were calculated trough song
@@_d--insert "the more you know!" Meme
The cadence of song also works very well in channeling spells.
Many believe this to be the process of singing a soul into the blade. Hence why most famed swords have names and why some are considered sentient
this hit me with a huge wave of inspiration, what an absolutely lovely and gorgeous scene
if we don't get another forge shanty from vysache i riot
The dub should be in Norse style it would be so fucking mind blowing
@@deathscythesangel666 yeah that would definitely be!!!
Well, eventually he's going to defeat that wolf boss, regain the ability to wear armor, and SOMEONE'S going to have to make it for him; something light, but strong, and that would take a lot of skill...

@@RizzD.Kakarrotif reading the manga isnt enough for you. You might want to read the novel
After reading this part of the manga, I was really looking forward to the anime, and I have to say this actually exceeded my expectations.
Same honestly! I was like "oh this is a neat song" in the manga but since you're just reading it in panels its different.. when I first heard/saw this scene I was like "holy shit, the adaptation!"
If I'm not mistaken some Blacksmith did actually had songs because they had to synchronize their move so they could make good usage of the hammer's momentum while swinging.
No surprise he can sing his va is so talented he is alao the va for solid snake, blackbeard from one pice and Kyoraku from bleach and his father was the va Gol D. Roger
Damn, good voice acting runs in the family I guess
He's also Adachi from the Like a Dragon games!
Also Iskander from the fate series
So he is basically ace but not ace
What is "va"? o.o?
Never seen this anime but this song is incredible. Fantasy folk songs like this always grip me in ways modern genres of music can't.
It's like a piece of the human spirit normally lost to time returns for a brief period as this song is being sung.
It's a shanty, a work song. It's a song that workers sing to keep themselves busy but also to keep them in beat with what they're supposed to be doing.
Yeah watched a lot of anime and this scene is very original and iconic
Though he may be a Rabbit Demi-human, he has the Heart and Soul of any Dwarven Blacksmith Masters of Yore who made mighty spells while hammers fell like ringing bells upon the anvil, whose songs unheard by Men or Elves.
Quick question? Who is the Fwarven Blacksmith Master of Yore you mantiont?
@@spore4893
Well I meant say masters, but there many that are known very little because Dwarfs are known to keep to themselves and and not many have seen them work in person.

A Vorpals soul:
~The Fire of the forge against the sleeping sky...

The hammer dances
The iron sings
Bang, clang, ring
Crash, clash, bash
A blade's what you are
Power's what you are
Draw forth from the ground
Feed in the wood
Stoke the flame
Temper the metal
Cool it in water

One of the best moments in this anime. Loved the song and imagery.
You know this has the DNA of 80s-90s OVA energy in it. And I love that.
Every Forger likes to sing while crafting a weapon.... like Ornn from League of Legends
ahh yes. The Song of Hearthome. It is my favorit song as it pretty much the freljordian spirit and thr very escences of Ornn being the Forge God of Fire, Earth and Steel. But also his music pretty much fits for the good old Viking Scandinavien Blacksmiths
And its, sparks are flying. Passion strong.
I AM the blacksmith singing the hammer and the anvil song.

This hit's me this hard and good that I want to meet real blacksmith's that are taking their work with their soul. And See how's this done and to try too with them and with motivation.
THAT IS IT!!! Vash is my favorite character in this series. Long live the vorpal spirit. If they make a video game out of this anime, I'm going straight to Vysach.
This is art. Not too often you see a sword Born. Not made like other places.
This, this is a master smith, a man of his craft, just looking at his form, his mivement, his consentration , his voice, that sword has part of his soul in it, each clash is deliver whit the power of his spirit. The song, an epitaph of a masyerpiece being born into the world.

I put it in bucle because it is so good, I've been watching anime for about 10 years and is the first time I see and hear something like this.
Thanks now I can play it on infinite loop, as I hope the English version won't disappoint once it is released.
I'm liking it.
He's got good form. I love the effect of the magic circles, flying up after each hammer blow and then falling back to the glowing piece. It kind of breaks my immersion how he's not putting it back up in the fire like at all during the course of this. But I guess he's just using magic to retain the heat a lot better out of the fire.
Edit, I like how this paste tribute to the fact that some blacksmiths actually do sing as they work. They will sing to their workpiece and however way they see fit, some will sing like a traditional. Song has been passed down through their family or from master to apprentice. Or they'll something that they came up with themselves as they work.
My one pet peeve other than the lack of reheating the blade, is that he's not using the proper striking technique. He's swinging his hammer down and bringing to a complete stop rather than striking and letting the rebound of the hammer carry it back up to save energy in the swing to keep himself from getting tired quicker. Because that method that he's using will exhaust him much faster, nd I don't care whether or not he's in a game like Shangri-la Frontier, I'd like as much immersion as possible if feasible.
So what class are you playing Bard of Blacksmith?
Vysache: YES.
Everytime he strikes the hammer my heart and soul feels so happy hearing the steel ring with a wondrous sound
0:54 I like this part quite a bit. Specifically how it ties together the 5 elements you might see in a fantasy story like this.
“Draw forth from the ground
Feed in the wood.
Stoke the flames.
Temper the metal.
Cool it in water.”

Before our hunters, you all will fall.
They chop you up, and bring you here.
When we gaze upon you, we feel no fear.
Oh monsters strong, and tough, you see.
Before our hammers, how weak they may be.
CLANG! CLANG! our hammer goes.
FWOOSH! FWOOSH! The fire blows.
CLANG! CLANG! The hammer goes.
FWOOSH! FWOOSH! the fire blows.
Strike with our heart
And shape with our flesh.
A weapon we forge, is the best of the best.
Now among the monster out there in world.
There are those power can make it unfurl.
The elder dragons, force of nature they are.
But to our Hunters, their powers arent far.
As we clang away, and stoke the flame, we turn even the dragons from fear to our gear....
Oh monsters big. Oh monsters small.
Before our hammers, you all will fall.
We feel no fear.
We feel no hate.
For we are the Forgers, who decide your fate....
Clang clang. The hammer goes.
Fwoosh fwoosh the fire blows x3

This has the same feeling as hearing my dad sing when I was small. I don’t mean singing along to a radio, I mean singing for the sole purpose of passing time. He rarely does it, even less so now. But when he sings, it’s just had the same badass energy as this bura bun hammering that blade.
I'd like that he's using the rhythm of this shanty to align his hammer with the magic circles at the perfect moment.
