I'm a big fan of the clones. $645 is too much for the real thing. For half as much you can get a real Italian Beltrame with abalone and that's much nicer than any Micro Tech. For $55 you can get a gold plated one of these.
Great review! I always thought it's more similar to the Microtech Dragonslayer. Where did you get it? I saw other versions that were about $80, but with much better quality...
I wonder if it is the same as this one: www.dhgate.com/product/high-quality-microtech-nemesis-auto-knife/382059489.html?recinfo=8,103,2#cppd-2-5|null:103:r0064676248 BTW - have you seen the new tanto Halo IV?
Now I am wondering too :) but I wouldn't be surprised if they were identical. That Halo 4 with tanto is new to me and I think it looks strange I like original shape more(at leat with this handle).
I really hate counterfeit knives. If they want to make an OTF knife that functions like a Microtech, fine. Just don't put the Mictrotech markings on it.
If you UNLOCK the blade as you did in the video and shake the knife the blade will absolutely wobble side to side! Even a genuine MT Nemesis or Halo will wobble like that if you jiggle it with the blade unlocked! You seem to be pointing out things as "defects" in the clone that are similar in the real knife. When the retracting slide is pulled fully OUT and only has a few cm inside the knife, OF COURSE it's going to wiggle side to side! Clearly you don't know much about how and WHY OTF knives work...including single-action models. With the blade fully forward the spring is applying forward pressure, but it's the LOCK that makes the blade become immobile...or non-moving. As soon as you unlock the blade it's going to feel loose and act loose...like, duh. Same goes for the retracting slide on the other end - not that it's meant to be "tight", but when you have 90% of it hanging out the back and it's only held in by that small pin sticking out the side of the blade shank, of course the thing will wiggle freely! All you've done is demonstrate how little you know about SA OTF knives while trying to impress the viewer at how shoddily made is your Nemesis replica, though in fact, it doesn't look poorly made at all. It may not be made of the same materials as the MT branded version, but that has nothing to do with how the blade wobbles when UNLOCKED and the knife is shook.
That's the Marfione custom clone. That's why it's different! So it wiggles..no big deal. Good upload!
the sheath looks very well made ....the knife even SOUNDS cheap
I bought one. Mine had surprisingly very little blade play. Much less than this. I really like mine.

I'm not going to lie for my coming off wish it's honestly not bad for what I was expecting to be honest and what I paid for as well so.
dhgate actually can have high end fakes, that are worth the extra cash
