I've been having porridge a lot too, years ago I used to do it with a sprinkle of salt on top and milk, but now I do it with a little spoonful of peanut butter (which I'm training myself to like) and some fruit.
Sounds great! I might have to give that a go!

Totally understand giving 100% at work! Self scan can be a killer, so remember to pace yourself. I need to get hold of that checkout girl book, I bet it's good.
I agree with Veronica Henry, I just can't get into with her books either. An old favourite of mine is A Vintage Affair by Isabel Wolff, have you read it? It's about a woman who works in a vintage clothes shop, I think you'd enjoy it.
I'm enjoying your monthly spend reports, it just shows you how all the little expenses add up. Trust me, you'll never get out of picking up a few things in your way out of work, the temptation is too great 🤣

I make my porridge with milk & add nutmeg & cinnamon, helps my stomach..

Honestly huge pet peeve of mine is when some people will glance at a job and say it must be an "easy" job, all depends on the work ethic of the person. I really struggle to not give 100% of myself to my work as well, trying to get better at that since I do often tell myself off and remind myself"minimum wage, minimum effort"! 😅
Porridge tip! My favorite is cooking it with a mushed up banana and topping with cinnamon or brown sugar :o) Has a very banana bread-y taste to it! Maybe experiment with overnight oats? I know some people aren't keen on the cold oat sludge feeling of them but if you get a good recipe they can be great! Sending love x
Thank you, Im not a fan of overnight oats and this week has been far too hot for porridge! I do like banana bread though so that sounds like something I could try! Minimum wage, minimum effort ... I need to remember that :P

Lynn here on Hubby's phone mines playing up 😏, I've read The Beach Hut and I found it Brilliant , following the Family tho the decades in the Beach Hut Fabulous !! Hope I can drop on the Christmas one , I'll have to surch for that one 🤔, don't know if you've read these , I'm just starting them , The Lost Book Shop by Evie Woods , The Keeper of Stories by Sally Page , Where The Crawdads sing by Delia Owens please let me know if you've read them 😊, Take Care Love ❤️
The only one I have read out of those is crawdads and I found it really boring but I seem to be in the minority on that one!
