Dam Simon is a beast on sight personality...one or very few takes, interacts with the crowd perfectly, no script aside from notes on phone, vocal stamina to press on like that. Easily the best wrestling commentator on TH-cam, followed by Ollie Davis.
Simon definitely sounds like he had a great time.

I think the reason why the Young Bucks decided to book themselves on last as the main event instead of Kenny or Cody was because they knew they had a hard 11pm finish time that they could not go over, they wouldnt want Kenny or Cody to feel rushed for time and have to cut spots or contextual moments out, they were unselfish in that regard because they knew that if someone had to rush and speed through a match while still putting on a high quality match they would be able to pull it off which they did. Just some food for thought.
I like this opinion.

The golden elite match was only ever gonna be a spot match, you can rush a spot match, rushing the emotional journey of a cody vs aldis, or not letting pentagon get his shit in before he eats an L both need time, if any match that could headline the show could be rush it was the bucks and i think its pretty clear thats what happened. They are first time promoters, they know its poorly managed this is a smart way to hide your weakness.
I like this explanation. I don't know how valid it is, but it is a nice way of seeing it.
the omega nout could have easily been 5 to 8 min shorter. be a bit more enjoyable without the useless mannerism every 20s, even if i understand it help him to get his breath back between spots. so the main event could be less rushed and give an overall better feeling. also someone should have said no to mysterio ring attire, it distract you way too much of the action everytime he is barely on screen.

I honestly liked this being live and with the crowd there, there's so much that can happen and be said that wouldn't ever occur in a studio making for some entertaining footage
I really like how they got every aspect of wrestling. They got hardcore, high flying, strong style, technical, Womens, tag team, trios...

I feel like they had the NWA title in the middle of the card because they didn't want to have to cut them at Short later due to time constraints. For timing reasons they had it in the middle so they can show everything

Hi simon, i’m from the future. Many things have happened since then. But i really love how you called mjf a lesser miz! I’m rewatching all your aew ups and down!
something I noticed..When someone DID botch a move or get caught up in a sequence not a single fan chanted, "you fucked up," they let it go and just continued to enjoy the match...Shit even Fenix slipped on the top rope going for a spring board I think arm drag or something then immediately re-did the spot but nobody drew any attention to it aside from maybe a gasp or an ahhhh but really good crowd honestly and yes the show was really fun and I loved how they incorporated all the being the elite stuff.

Nope...there were definitely some down moments for the show. It doesn't mean the show is bad but it definitely wasn't perfect.

I was there. It was unbelievable. Thank God for Verizon phone charging stations or wouldn't have gotten as many pictures. Lol.

@@81rbutler Yeah, I was so worried that my phone would die before the show ended from the mass amount of pictures and videos taken, but there were charging stations with every cord imaginable and I saw one with wireless charging capabilities. Not only was the show great, but the Sears Centre Arena was so accommodating and their staff (most of them not knowing how big a deal this show was) were as friendly as could be. The way the arena is set up made it to where everyone had a great seat. The All In crew who designed and set up that stage and ramp deserve so many thanks for elevating the ramp so that everyone could get great pictures of the wrestlers walking down. I know this is long as hell, but a day after and I'm still pumped man. Lol.

The event took place in one of the wealthy suburbs of Chicago. They were nowhere near any violent parts

It'd one show with a limited roster and no TV deal. I don't think it changes much. But it does give some good paydays to some guys.
Doesn't matter how many people were on it, if they don't have a tv deal or even if NXT takeovers are better. Whats important is that an independent wrestling event managed to succeed in a way that demands attention. Maybe there won't be any noticeable changes in the short term, but long term impact All In will have is almost certainly game changing.

This was the greatest Ups and Downs ever.
As someone who doesn't watch much of the Indies I can honestly say this show can easily hang with any Big 4 ppv from wwe and any show from NJWP. It's an accomplishment that all involved should be proud of.

I really enjoyed how Simon let other people chime in and give their opinion. He could have been a dick but he shared his spot light. Good video. I wouldn't mind seeing more of these with Simon and regular fans. Seeing the difference in what people remembered afterwards was interesting.

This was honestly my favorite Ups and Downs so far. The whole vibe of the fans and their excitement following that show was incredible. Not to mention how damn good All In was. There wasn't a bad match on the card. It was exciting, it was fun, and it lived up to all the hype, and then some.

The whole event was an up. Start to finish every match was loads of fun tons of great spots. The only minor down which really isn't really down was the line for merch was ridiculous but it should have been...good for cody the bucks and everyone involved it was a blast
