Indha Elan one of the overrated director uh. Star ah paathu indha paiyan mela irundha mariyadhaye poirchu. oruthan kashtame padam luck la hero aagura kadhaya eduthu vechitu enna vaai pesuran ivan. thappana eduthu kaatu 2k kids ku indha star hero character.
Dai accept that. Unga padam nalla illaye.. athana odala.. audience reject only non engaging , unrelatable , non entertaining movies. They dont reject a movie based on box office ..
the problem with these film makers is that they are not aware of the objective of their films. kadaisi vivasayi is kind of artistic film. it is shot in a very minimal budget which can be recovered by the satellite and OTT rights. the primary objective of that film is for film festival audience and theatrical run is just an addon . you cannot see kadaisi vivasayi even in trp list. where as captain miller,ayalaan kind of films are aimed to satisfy mass audience which reflects on box office. if you dont care about box office you should make films like kadaisi vivasayi not like cm /ayalaan

I watched Star, Captain Miller, and Ayalaan. All three movies are horrendous, and they keep talking about the numbers game. They had enough budget to make a good movie, but they give excuses like they are cornered by the numbers game. Otherwise, they claim they would make a movie like Interstellar or Inception. Please accept your mistakes and stop blaming others.

He is just saying what he feels like. Malayalam films are good at the same time we should also celebrate our language films.. that's what he meant. He is a fan of Malayalam cinema as well.
These directors haven't read contemporary tamil literature. Also, Arun matheswaran should learn to give other directors space. If he justifies h vinoth, then many other directors also put Item songs out of compulsion. His argument doesn't hold water.
