- I went on a Summer road trip to Philadelphia, New Jersey, Boston, Providence, Cleveland, Chicago, Birmingham, & Atlanta. Along the way I was able to buy some amazing LEGO Star Wars sets & Minifigures PLUS a bunch of other stuff from Brickworld Chicago 2024! Oh and I got one of the RAREST LEGO Star Wars items of ALL-TIME!

Agreed, I actually I was able to buy the 1999 Lukes land speeder for $30. It was the best Lego deal I’ve ever seen.

6:38 I've seen the ID thing happen before... I believe one of the reasons they do that is to make sure you're old enough to be spending your own money instead of using your parents (or someone else's) card and getting them and the store in trouble...
And even when you're clearly old enough they can still ask you for your ID just in case you're using someone else's card or to stick to store policies
I've seen some ID'ing on returns for the people who take out minifigs/sets and fill the set back up with meaningless bricks, effectively stealing, but never upon purchase. Definitely weird.
I believe it also has to do with stolen debit/credit cards. People will report cards lost or stolen and the store will lose the money that was spent with the reported card. I heard some stores say that people will walk in with a stolen card and when they ask for ID they say they forgot it in the car and will come back and never do.
I remember one of the mandr asks being “what are you going to do after TH-cam” or something like that, and he said trains. This is the beginning of the end

My favorite sets are definitely the A-Wing and B-Wing. Something about the old lego is just really cool lol. I also like the side builds on the B-wing and the A-Wing pilot figure

I go to Sir Troy’s in Canton Ohio all the time. They have some great retired sealed sets. They also have used sets for sale all the time.
Andy's is my go-to spot... 10 minutes from home... got a free minifig on my b-day... gf also picked up Frank Lloyd Wright "Falling Water" set...
I love the old train sets! I wish I could buy a complete Super Chief set. Maybe someday! I was a bit too young to get them when they were on store shelves but I do have the Maersk train and that's one of my favorite LEGO sets that I currently own and also one of the only sets from my childhood that didn't get torn apart and built into something else.
Man, I've missed hauls. Loved how you kept forgetting things and had to backtrack the story.

Next time you are in Canton for Sir Troy's they got a new larger location within the last few years that is super dope (if you have not been)! When I am back home in the area I always try to stop in - sick place :D

I remember only having to show my driver's license when I purchased used DVDs at a large store. I believe they might have wanted to see your id if you ever try to sell the items back to them....( I was paying with cash) but if they didn't photograph or scan your id and purchase receipt, that's an out dated store policy. And a little bit scary. I'm a big Keisha Castle-Hughes fan and I buy any of her movies. Maybe they thought that was odd because I purchased 2 of the Nativity Story DVDs. LOL 🤣
Next time you travel up to Chicago, I suggest stopping by "It's a Block Party" in Indianapolis!

I finally got the Maersk train, the Emerald Night set and a few other cool sets, but still need both of those engines that you grabbed.
I really thought about those trains too back in the day. If I recall that was roughly around the time the first Star Wars Lego arrived. 2002ish. My work colleague was a former train rail repair team engineer guy and he suggested them to me but I just didn't have the interest to get them at the time. I've bought some trains since then though. Great Find! Of course the Star Wars sets I bought are just fine anyway so its not a total loss like passing up buying MTG beta/alpha boxes at the Ames, Iowa comic book store on Lincoln Way. Sigh. Hindsight is 20/20.
My large haul was, 2 bomb squad troopers, 1 ARF trooper, a complete Jek-14 Minifigure, and the Old Republic Striker Class Starfighter! Made this comment as I started this video so I may edit it again.

The yellow city Lego delivery truck. Tottaly sold out in 3 weeks in every store. Only fount one place that had one I left it a little to long to get it. K mart it was $139. Lego shop s high price s suck. Can not believe I scored one. No one on face book saleing them. eBay now $200 😮 target dident sale them. Hear not sure why not. Awesome Ryan. 😊 You made a good choice geting thos Locomotive 💥👌💯 I put mine in a see thru bag. Love looking at them. I do wish I had duplicate to build. An put in my Lego City. 😊

I still can’t believe all the NY Yoda stuff is worth so much. I got lucky walking to work when the event was in Times Square. I would have grabbed more than just the fig if I knew the stuff would become that valuable. LEGO was handing out all kinds of stuff.

I think you talked about the ID thing once before when selling Lego or selling toys at the toy store like for instance there’s one in my hometown that if you sell any kind of toys to them, you have to show your ID just in case it’s stolen. Like if the police come in and say they’re looking for a bunch of Lego and you sold them there after you stole them from someplace they’ll be able to look you up. I’ve never had my ID check to buy, a bunch of Lego before though

BNSF Locomotive 😍 I got one new in box and Sante Fe New in box scored them for 😊 $500 deal of the century. for the two of them. One is werth $899 .other $750. Or more.
I went to the time square lego store on june 8th and I somehow got the droid troop carrier, it's a good thing because I couldn't go to à lego store on may 4th

Ask Mandr: this is more of a comment but in the Skywalker Saga video game the separatist shuttle is the just the phantom 2 model in a tan color scheme, the real separatist shuttle model is never used!

Got the sarwars lego mag for the 501st specialist trooper and bonus ob1 unfortunately ob1 came with 2 torsos and no legs had to give the poor guy some droid legs 😂

Lego trains are a dangerous path, my friend. Very expensive and take up a lot of room for just a little bit of usability.
