Lakhpati Didi is a member of a Self-Help Group (SHG) who earns a household income of at least ₹1,00,000 annually. This income is calculated over at least four agricultural seasons or business cycles, and the average monthly income must be more than ₹10,000.
The Lakhpati Didi scheme is an initiative of the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) that aims to empower women economically. The scheme offers financial instruments to improve access to credit, encourage entrepreneurship, and promote financial inclusion. Lakhpati Didi members are also role models who inspire others by adopting sustainable practices and maintaining a high standard of living.
The Lakhpati Didi scheme is part of the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana - National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM)
