Bijolai Palace is located near Kaylana Lake and is one of the oldest palaces in Jodhpur built in 1859 by Maharaja Takhat Singh as his summer residence and has been declared a heritage resort in Jodhpur by INTACH.
The highlight for us of course would be getting a flavor of the culture through the people and the authentic Rajasthani food.
The present Maharaja of Jodhpur-Marwar, His Highness Gaj Singh II gifted the Bijolai Palace in Jodhpur, in 2004 to Jal Bhagirathi Foundation (JBF). The property was completely restored and opened to guests as Bijolai Palace Hotel. Income from the hotel is utilised by JBF to provide drinking water to the communities of Thar Desert.

Rajasthan has always fascinated me more than any other state in India. Glad to see Jodhpur through your eyes. The real glimpse of royal chic can be seen only in Rajasthan. The experience of staying at the heritage hotel is one-of-a-kind. I stayed in a haveli when visited Jaipur a few years back, it was pretty close to Hawa Mahal and other famous destinations.
