I feel like buying pre-made builds destroys the purpose of exploring your own playstyle and exploring what works with what, which is what makes deepwoken fun for some people and beginners.

As a customer If I were to buy a build, I'd require: at least 10 matches in chime(top 250) where they show that the build actually works combos; modifiers give an actual guide with mystic dialogues on every lvl at least briefly tell about the play style for the build that's the very minimum for me if i am going to buy a build for $30
You can literally figure out almost every talent by watching there gameplay. I used to find youtubers medal accounts to get clips of their build being used and possibly get post shrine stats. If you have good game knowledge you can easily figure out someones build by a video of them using it or even just fighting against them/seeing someone fight against them in a clip.
for ur gale build drop 5 from willpower and put it into intel pre shrine for 5 hp talent or into charisma for manipulater it would be a much better investment
In my opinion, it actually explains a lot about the state of deepwoken. To the point where people sell builds for real money. While before you could've litteraly made any build and go with it just fine. I really do think deepwoken lost its creativity.
As an experienced Deepwoken player since day 1, we could easily make the sweatiest, most goofy builds with the craziests talent combinations. But we don't, because we play for fun. Our builds are unique and gimmicky, sometimes even not shrine of order. I'm personally a Luminant/Depths dweller, so I take cards that are useful in the Luminants and Depths, but not in Chime of Conflict. This naturally leads to extra stats and talents that take away from potentially meta combinations. However, those of us who are truly experienced at Deepwoken know something. Although talents make up the backbone of your build, mantras are what determine your playstyle. Having crazy mantra modifications and combinations will carry you further than a bunch of mismatched talents that only stack additively.
An idea on what to do instead of buying builds even if your new is just search up a basic build, watch videos on how to make builds, if they showcase talents just look at the talent reqs and try calculating them
So glad I can think of my own stats when making a build 😭 IF you're at a point where you need to pay for a build I don't think you're good enough to use it anyway, it'd be better to just spend more time practicing
Put it this way, buying these builds feels like buying a starter pack to the game. Paying $5 for deepwoken, and $5+ for a “starter” build for chime just doesn’t sit with me, since its pretty much paying half of the game, for the same, or even larger price. Compared to paying for something like a DLC, DLCs quite literally add extra content to your experience, not try to make the game “easier” for you. So its fair to pay a price for a pretty much different experience.
but when you buy a build of a top chime or anything like that, 1: the owner of the build know the build so they know what the weakness and how to play it 2: all player dont have the same playstyle so for me its useless to buy stats of a build

No build is worth buying. If you have a funny idea, you make it to suit your needs. I want a quad attunement build, i make that quad attunement build exactly to what i planned. It works out great enough, I'm not the best build maker out there but I got exactly what i wanted. I am 99% sure no builder can replicate the idea and feel of my own playstyle and what i value over other just through vague words and requirement. If you want to metamance, you learn the meta to adapt with the times, you are NOT paying 5 dollars every friday or so. Learn to make builds, NEVER pay for them.
Also @batslc for your gale build do this Pre shrine 1 str 50 fort 1 agi 45 int 85 will 55 char 1 gale post shrine 40 str 30 fort 40 agi 30 int 60 will 30 char 97 gale you only lose 5 hp (lost 20 fort -10hp, master craftsman is 5 hp gain back) and a LOT more gale considering the fact that heroblade user scale both their m1 and mantra damage with gale, most of the time its worth to go just really high investment + you should reach 50% pen with prophets+songchant pretty easily so more raw damage is better to ACTUALLY USE that pen you have. Also i do not know what that guy doing at all with that build ong (also the stat looks better i cant stand messy stats im sorry)

If you are at a point in the game where you can't even create your own optimized build, it probably isn't even worth it to spend money on a build you probably can't even use properly. Play the game, gain experience, and boom you can make good numbers on a build calculator. HOWEVER... there are definitely some builds worth money, which are multi attunement builds or unique gimmick builds that actually take time to think of. But if it's a basic single attunement/attunementless build, don't get scammed, it is NOT worth the money. If you're REALLY desperate, you can pay 5 dollars and get a min-maxed metamanced build that are PROBABLY... up to date. Ultimately, make your own builds and improve at your own rate, you got that 😎 This coming from one of the top build makers NA and honestly some build makers think they good when in reality... they are chopped cheese 😭
