Street Outlaws star Lizzy Musi dies aged 33 after stage four breast cancer diagnosis
Lizzy Musi, best known for being on Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings has died at the age of 33.
The drag racer's father, Pat Musi, broke the news on Facebook on Thursday. His post read: "Surrounded by her Family, in the comfort of her own home, Lizzy was called to heaven at 11:25pm tonight."
"Thank you for all the prayers and support throughout her battle," it continued, "At this time, the family would like to have time to process, grief [sic] and make arrangements in peace. We will give an update as soon as we have information to share.”Lizzy was diagnosed with breast cancer in April 2023 and announced the news on Instagram. "Hey Everyone, I haven’t been able to have much time to post due to an unexpected life change," she wrote.
"A few days ago I have been Diagnosed with Triple Negative Stage 4 Breast Cancer that has moved to my lymph nodes to my liver," it continued, "I have a rough journey ahead of me. I appreciate everyone’s messages and calls."Months later, Lizzy shared that she shaved her head due to "extreme hair loss." She kept a positive outlook on her diagnosis, writing: "Well here is the new me...some days are tough to look in the mirror but there are days where I feel stronger than ever."After the news of her death, fans flooded her last Instagram post with condolences. The May 31 post was of a bouquet of flowers and a note from a friend and taken while Lizzy was at the Medias Klinkum Burghausen, a cancer treatment facility in Germany.
"RIP to a legend! You’ll be missed," one fan wrote. Another commented: "Long live you, race in heaven lizzy."
Lizzy rose to fame appearing on the Discovery show Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings, a spin off of Street Outlaws, and focused on street racers. She starred on the show with her father, who's a celebrated driver himself as an eight-time PDRA Pro Street World Champion.
