Oh nooo as a NATO Fanner I had to watch you get relentlessly pummeled by rocket arty and air and I was like finally this is about to get good lol. Btw and I may be wrong about this but when you turned down the air unit bc you weren't attacking that turn and took the points , pretty sure you keep that unit just as you kept that aux unit with the leo 1's earlier in the campaign. Anyhow it was fun watching you play , seen you in tourneys before from other posters perspectives, good commentary, good ideas , but also I think you were right thinking keeping the 11th alive for the counter push might have been more important than using them as a blocking force. I almost wager letting him go all in towards his main objective , sacking a unit or 2 to slow him while heavily threatening his northern flank to a counter attack that could devastate his arty and aa may have been just/more effective. It would have given you multiple options , he would have no choice but to stretch his lines or face a possible encirclement , since the 11th was the strongest single battalion by far at that point you may have been able to pick off isolated units or even that pesky arty he was so fond of pounding you with , also you could have retaken the original objective. The russkies have been doing asymmetrical warfare forever so going toe to toe with them is probably playing into their hand. Not sure if its modeled in game but in theory the us/nato forces practice maneuver warfare so i have a feeling they have more move distance in game ... or at least they should. Will be looking forward to another series.
