I spilled water over the bottom of my bullet journal while it was in my backpack at Defcon last week, it's all fucked but I think its cooler for it. All that to say while I was there with my friends at the Tuscany, I basically was camped out. I found this $165 chinese induction cooktop and griddle and cooked them breakfast (mcgriddles! dehydrated maple sugar flakes into the batter does the trick). I brought one of those $25 water boilers for doing pour over coffee with the peak to summit pour over thingy and made Philz coffee every morning. I brought my camp table.. the Nemo multi height one. Yeah that table is stupid. Every time I bring it I think... why did I bring this? It has like no good use. It's just too short for anything. I really wish I could get rid of it. I hope this table works out for you long term. The taughtness seems like the part that scares me most, but it seems way lighter than any other table for how much surface area it provides.
OOOOoooooo you have the Nemo table! That thing looks sick lol, maybe a bit small now that you mention it. Cooking for people is a kindness and its own reward. The camping trip sounds very successful. Yeah, I've also ruined pages of my journal accidentally, but it as well never made me too upset. Just becomes more unique, and it's only for my eyes anyway.
