Peep the LOSI 5T 2.0 on a DUAL 10S / ZTW setup...will it go up in smoke like the rest of my 12S ZTW setups???...well, be sure to Subscribe and find out when the video drops!
The 12s Kraton didn't work out so well...Improperly tuned ESC is most likely to blame...Waiting on those ZTW programmers to come in! For the time being, we'll run a TP Power 10s Motor on 8s with a Castle XLX ESC!
I also just purchased the 2 new 1/8 8IGHT-XE 4WD Electric Buggy Race Kits for my girlfriend and me...gonna go the gf into racing...think that would be hot..lol
The Kraton on 12s was a fun thought, but I had a faulty ZTW ESC. You see what happens...lol
We also ran my Kyosho Inferno GT R8 that sports a Castle ESC along with a TP Power 4070 on a spool! No GPS, but you can gauge this thing is at least touching 90mph-100mph!

What sertting would you change with the program card to stop the ztw from burning motors? I looked at the settings you can change and none of them seem like they would burn a motor.. I have one coming that's why I'm asking.
I honestly couldn't tell ya mate, as I'm still waiting on my program cards. My best guess is to maybe search TH-cam for some reviews? I hope to have some soon, so I can shed more light on the best ways to possibly run them. Thanks for watching mate!

It comes with the esc. I buy castle esc's mamba monster x.. xlx 2 they all come with coupon for free castle PC link card & cable. I've got like 4 of them their $25 if you have to buy them separately.

@@BitcoinGTR yeah and what bothered me was you even asked that guy if that was yours and he replied "no"! BUT if you look back replay the vid you'll notice he hesitated with his no reply.....he knew that link card was yours if you purchased a castle esc than check your paperwork that comes with the esc it should have a separate coupon for that same exact card. I mean I'm just sayn it appears to me like he pulled a fast one there. I mean I'm all 4 supporting your local brick and mortar HS but not if their nickel and diming their own custo's.

Those are some nice cars. I wonder if the builder is using a gear calculator because if that white limitless is set up for speed runs on 8s that’s over 230mph of gearing on it. It will fry that esc. Please check your gearing!!!
I more than likely estimated the gear that was on the other customers limitless...as its not mine, and Matthew didn't hear me when I asked..lol
that car running 39 37 gearing a littel lest then 1to1 more like 1,2 i have be getting 140mph with about 7 or 8 passes it
and with temps in 130f
M2c made a motor mount for 8s kraton so you can use larger motors and pinions

I'd contact My Tobbies! Ask for Matthew. They have started 30 mins consultation calls - but I believe they've had to stop doing them for FREE, as the calls have picked up from my videos.

Dude that cooked TP5870 looks like a 1100kv or so. Max volts is 8s. 800kv is the highest kv in 5870 series to support 12s
We have a 10S Motor on the Kraton now..bought so many motors, who knows what KV it is...lol
Been hearing stew is some bs. Go with mgm if you want anything over 8s

Programming the esc wont likely help.. the ztw esc are just crap. Ive had a few and they are junk. Dont waste your time/money on them. Get an MGM and be done... or try a flier Ive heard those are decent.

@@BitcoinGTR I'm sure those were a Delta wind motor from TP,and without programming the esc to make sure theres no "timing",and throw high gear in on it,I can see how/why they fried instantly.

I work on all my RC's mate. I just put together my Losi Eight XE Buggy Kit from scratch on my own. At this point with COVID and such - Its forced me to work on my own. I'm not as busy as I used to be anymore either. When it comes to the custom builds costing $5,000+ all said and done such as the Losi, I'd rather Matthew do it - so if and when a warranty claim needs to be had there are no issues. Think about it from that perspective.

Honestly, every time is see an electric 5T with a 12s or greater, it always fails or the performance is very lack-luster. I think that truck is too heavy and better suited for an RCMax 46cc or greater for ripping performance.
When are these guys gonna stop “cooking” components? I want to see a car rip, not go up in 🔥.
I feel that. The Dual 10s setup is just going to allow me to bash harder and more efficiently with the dual-motor setup allowing both motors to run a bit cooler and less intensive during long bash sessions. Not expecting it to be that explosive, but I think it will crazy torque and effortlessly scoot around a giant baseball field for fun.
We burned up 3 motors in total. 1 on the infraction ( didn't know the ESC was bad, and was used again ) with us burning up 2 Motors on that same bad ESC. Nobody thought it was the ESC at first..lol
Working on some projects right now that will bring a little more excitement to the channel!
Bitcoin GTR well I’ll continue to watch. Hopefully, I’ll learn some things that’ll keep me from making mistakes in a quest for more power. I just got a DBXLe 2.0 and hope to like it.
They are just throwing parts at the builds. Kinda like some of the so called race engine mechanics for Bikes and cars. You would be better off sending it to someone that shows they can build fast shyt.
Oh I wish I put all the footage of me there at the hobbyshop...its them telling me no...but me telling them yes...Call me the impatient one when it comes to upgrades of any kind. I'm working on equipping all my cars with MGM products.

Just got Version 2's in our hands, so I'll keep trying them out...atleast the V2's are supposed to have updated PCB boards inside. Not sure if they help, but they're calling it a ZTW Version 2.

There is no reason people build some of the cars they do....but we do it for the love of the idea and vision. I want to bash the fuck outta this truck on the track...and do it effortlessly with the best dual combo I can get my hands on for the money. We will barely be using both motors full power...so it will be able to run for long periods of time and be a beast in and out of corners with awesome braking and corner leaving torque. I have my reasons.
