If bolt is connecting two holes, without nut & bottom hole is threaded,how should we consider it in ansys workbench? Can we use beam with bolt pretension?
In the using joint for preloading, you said that we must split the bolt into two sections, would you please explain where the split plane must be located?
You said pick the lower surface as mobile and upper surface as reference but you did the opposite in actual in translational joint. Is that we have to choose what you have said and not what you did.

Giving temperature input to bolt can also do this job. Thermal strain can be taken as mechanical strain.
