They hate water, and some rabbits can just get used to certain positions, them being on their back puts them in a trance/shock like state, however i had a bunny who would lay on her back on her own to stretch out, and when picked up would sometimes just lay upside down on her own almost as if she was stretching, i always supported her to keep her from entering the trance but she kinda did it on her own, most cant do so tho
On one hand it's bunny torture... On the other hand, it's a fun noise, and it's the God given right of all humans to act as masters of the universe.

Ok, I know why the bunnies were screaming when they are being held or attacked, but why were they screaming when they were getting a bath?
This may be because in nature rabbits clean themselves and when they are washed in water they do not like it like cats.
I never have issue with bunnies screaming when held however yes wild rabbit do not like to be held but domestic rabbit not really.
