    Love this book! th-cam.com/users/postUgkxpCNxqmAkyjN6NPx1fyB7QiEFWyO5mUWL it is simply one-of-a-kind! I really love it, because karah explained all tools required to have the job done, not mentioning the fabulous diy pallets ideas. I'm pretty sure this will be a fresh start in my new endeavour. Amazon was great, they delivered on time. Thank you!

    Anything that requires electricity to transform is too prone to errors and breakdown for me. I like the crib and the Konstanta couches.

    I visited a friend in Paris one week, about 25 years ago. I had never seen such a small apartment before but with the high price of RE in Paris, it wasn't all that unusual. He had a full sized bed that would come down from the ceiling via a hydraulic system in the living area and would end its descent just above the coffee table and sofa. Ingenious! And in the morning, a switch of a button would return it to its lofty stored spot in the ceiling. This was his very own design but had to keep it private because it would have been illegal to install in that part of the city.

    • @blackmamba5380
      @blackmamba5380 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Is it illegal to install such mechanism in Paris or in that bulding or apartment?? Sounds insane...

    • @claudiakarl7888
      @claudiakarl7888 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@blackmamba5380 I think it depends on the way a ceiling is constructed. Maybe it’s not fit to carry that weight.

    The fact that the crib can grow with your child seems like a worthwhile investment depending on the price.

    You see the problem with these items that help save space is that they almost cost more than just paying for a bigger space

    • @claudiakarl7888
      @claudiakarl7888 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Although that sort of bunk bed isn’t so uncommon in Germany and affordable. Even Ikea has a number of things like it - or children‘s bed that can expand when the kid grows.

    The author does like to from scratch, th-cam.com/users/postUgkxbnOKZBE4evMO5V2vroHeCjq6d_MV6wJO shaping and trimming wood from large blocks into fine finished products. As another reviewer mentioned, most projects require a lot of high-dollar equipment that most of us don’t have the room or budget for. But, knowing how to do these things, even if we won’t be able to practise the full stack project, is still great.

    I think a lot of people here are forgetting that there's been plenty of times in human history where people lived in small spaces. Bigger spaces meant more fuel to heat them and more material and this more expensive to build them.
    If there's one major thing we've lost in modern society, it's not so much the indoor living space so much as it's the nature that used to be just outside.

  • @hannahs5707
    @hannahs5707 2 ปีที่แล้ว +69

    Big no to that balcony🤣. I would be terrified of having that in my home and having a final destination ending. I'm sure it's designed to be reliable and accident-proof.. but still.

  • @cindychen8421

    I like the window into balcony design, it should be wide spread into every home, it save space and help to lift human mood.

  • @mrskye08

    One rule to not forget about these space saving furniture, most especially the transforming beds, is that you'll have to use them everyday. Imagine yourself setting up your bed every night and tucking it every morning. Eventually you might feel it like a chore and decide to just leave it at one particular configuration permanently. Having a mechanical versus automatic is also something to think on.
    Anyway i think the crib one is a great idea. Just take care of the furniture so it would still look new once you set it up as a regular bed.

    It's all very creative and fun to watch, but for starters I wouldn't want to build and rebuild the room every day with all those foldables and secondly... I am scared to ask for the price of all these gadget like furniture. It looks very expensive.

    • @piggiesgosqueal8066
      @piggiesgosqueal8066 2 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Agreed 100%. The people living in smaller areas to save money probably cannot afford the cost of these things. Especially the installation costs of a lot of them. Plus things that can be re-adjusted take time to do so. I doubt 95% of people would do so unless they really NEED to do so. And like I said- are those who “need” it actually able to afford it?

    Steel triple bunks were available in some countries after governments got rid of them for the military and prisoners. I bought one 13 years ago so my grandhildren could stay with me. They now live in their own house with their parents the "monster bed" which had new mattresses is still in use for one child. The monster means they can invite friends for sleepovers.

      По моему мнению, это окно - понты ради понтов. Обычный открытый балкон такого размера обойдётся гораздо дешевле. Плюс будет надёжен в использовании и прост в эксплуатации. Так и представляю, как в этом трансформере через год-два заклинит что-нибудь или отвалится.

    Transformer furniture is the future, they allow people to have multi function rooms, and with house prices going very high, people can have small or normal houses and still have all the functionality. As long as transformer furniture prices don't go sky high too that is. That foldable balcony should be super popular in countries where they don't build balconies.
