Thanks! She is certainly one of the smaller shoebills in Japan. When she was in Kobe, she would sometimes escape to the roof. Now she is living a graceful life in Nasu.
滋賀に移る前に東日本在住のハシビロコウさん達に全部挨拶するのかな（笑）とすると、暫くシリーズものですね、きっと。楽しみ。カシシさんの羽は綺麗ですね。ハシビロコウの羽は基本的にブルーグレイなんですね。改めて認識しました。その色、大好きで。我が家にいた2頭のKerry Blue Terriersもコートがダークなブルーグレイでした。妻と家具や置物を買う時、最初の色の選択肢がブルーグレイなんですよね。私の机もその色。それを思い返したら、ハシビロコウさん達が余計に愛おしくなりました。
As you pointed out, it would be nice to have more nature in the area where Futaba is located. She is also separated from the other birds and is only in contact with humans, keepers and visitors. However, the only good thing is that her area has very high space so she can fly around high every day.
@@shoebill_mike Thank you for responding. Futaba's Park has been sold to another company. The new management eliminated public feeding presentation. No keepers come to her enclosure, she is alone and sad. We (her fans) are heartbroken and hope that they change their mind. Futaba spent a couple of weeks sitting on the roof and just recently started to fly short flights. At least I'm happy for Caxixi. Thank you again 💓
@@autumnleaf6555 I had no knowledge of the management company. Thank you for the info. Futaba is fed by human hands and doesn't have any experience with bathing, which seems to be very different from her original way of life. I don't know if that is unfortunate for her or not, but anyway I just hope she lives a long life.
@@shoebill_mike Thank you again. Futaba is constantly itching now, trying to reach the top of her head and doesn't go to her pool anymore. No hand feeding now. Just a rainbow trout in a bucket after-hours, no other human contacts. Shoebills can live up to 35 years and I hope she makes it. Thanks again. 😊

カシシ、元気でした！そうそう一緒に来日して、一緒に神戸にいったり那須に戻ったりのアサラトが亡くなってしまい、本当に残念ですが、カシシにとってはもう追いかけまわされる心配もなく、のびのびと過ごせているかも知れません。そして、カシシは大人気で、人だかりがすごかったです！すでに密！

ブルーグレイは高貴な色ですね。陽射しの下ではさらに光沢を増します。しかも、外の羽には1本1本縁取りがあって本当に美しいです。羽の機能についても、ダック系もそうですが、しっかりしているんですね。以前、掛川花鳥園のフタバの内側の羽を拾ったことがあるのですが、非常に精巧な作りで、触れるだけで温かくふわっとしていて、まったく劣化しません（大切に保管）。恐竜の流れをくむ原始的な鳥でありながら、実は最先端の羽をまとっている。不思議です。ところで、ペットもお部屋のインテリアもブルーグレイがメインカラーとは、きっと素晴らしくお洒落なお宅でしょう。デザインセンスも色彩センスもない我々夫婦の新居、お見せするのがお恥ずかしい限りです。

11月１６日にカシシに会いに行きました。初めての対面でしたが、嬉しかったです。
那須は月に2回行くので、また、会いに行きます。
園内は広くて、まだ半分も見ていません。
