Not sure if you picked up the meaning of the song in the lyrics, but she uses the story of a Perennial plant dying spectacularly (fall colours) then being "in a coma" for the winter, until spring time when It blooms with new life to represent her seasonal depression over the winter months, then being reborn and refreshed in the spring.

Perennial is my favorite Jinjer song precisely because of the lyrics. Tatiana puts herself out there with her lyrics.
We told you she could do it live. LOL And Roman, Eugene, and Vlad kill it too. Yeah, Tati can switch back and forth seamlessly, sometimes switching genres in the process. You were blown away by the first 2 songs you listened too, that is likely to continue, they really are that good.
For more, try Home Back (about the fighting in their Ukraine homeland in 2014) ,Teacher Teacher, Tati's vocal one take for Judgement (and Punishment), I Speak Astronomy, or from their latest 2021 album, Wallflowers, Vortex or the title track.
I'm sure others have said this, but Tati writes the lyrics to the music and most of the time they are very personal to her. The lyrics are very poetic and as great as the band is, too few people take the time to read and understand the lyrics, they are the heart and soul of Tati and Jinjer.

This song is about Tati's seasonal affective disorder. She likens it to a perennial plant. This is absolutely beautiful poetry on it's own. Set to this bonkers metal, it's bananas.

Glad you noticed the lyrics. Tati can be her own distraction from herself,for obvious reasons. I feel like this is her best written song and that it could stand alone if only read. Gorgeous imagery.

There are no bad songs, only bad venues. Listen to the fans, they won't point you wrong. There are some really crappy festival recordings out there that do no favors to anyone.
