when I was about 8 I was watching a show. and in one scene I saw about a fuzzy kind of transparent sillouhette of a child's hand brush across the screen. it was really creepy.

I was actually pretty lucky enough to investigate and take part in research and recordings of actual poltergiest evidence of a famous case over here in the UK. (The South Shields Poltergeist) There is a book about it. Poltergeist acitivity has always fascinated me but chilled me to the very core.

When I'm home alone and creepy stuff happens I just lie to myself and think of wired explanations of why that happened so for example I was studying in my room it was around 8 PM and I heard children's laughter from outside so just to brush it off I open my window and yell "You little kids need to shut up I'm trying to study" even though nobody was outside

As soon as you said the guy in the hallway I got so scared and I'm in the basement which makes it creepier OMG I'm very scared:)

between 0:45 and 0:55 theres a weird kind of scratching noise but it could just be your mic messing up idk im not a scientist

I wonder if it got angry with your brother because he willed it to leave? Like maybe it was like, "I'll show you!" "My house!" LOL
Dory's Stories idk but it really freaked my brother out. He doesnt talk about this stuff or mess with it any more at all.
It's funny how a paranormal experience will either give us a life long fascination (like with you and me) OR turn somebody off of it completely, (like your brother, and mine)

so, what if it really was a person and he/she left because they didn't find anything of value or something?
With the way everything was blocking the door, there would have been no way for whatever it was to have gotten back out that door, so to the best of out knowledge, and with his description, we feel it was the shadow figure.
