I enjoyed seeing you fix something that's kind of gaming adjacent. These mini fridges are pretty neat and I'm glad they'll continue to live on instead of ending up in a trash heap.
The power supply failing for the juggernog fridge is an EXTREMELY common problem, there's multiple forms of people talking about how there's don't work. I had the same issue with mine and so I found a power supply of a similar spec and replaced its connector and it got mine working again. I'm glad that you showed that this is the problem with them as when I was trying to figure it out there was not really advice to what was wrong.
Yeah, I replaced the power supply on mine and it worked for a few months, then died again from some other issue. I never got around to opening it up to find out what killed it the second time, I just got a Red Bull mini fridge and now my Juggernog one is a display piece.
This video reminded me of the series you did with mymatevince where you'd both buy some old tech fix it and try and make a profit would love to see a revival of that series it's such a nice way to see how somebody with no experience with that particular piece of tech goes about diagnosing and fixing the issues it really baffles me how simple alot of fixes turn out to be when you take the time to find the issue
This kind of product review is what I was talking about when I did the survey you put out the other day, using the tools and talking about them that is perfect!!
Awesome video steve! You were so right with that power supply for the jugger-nog fridge, they aren't made to be fixed.. im even surprised you got it open! Those output caps never seem to last unfortunately. Glad to see you got them working though!!
You inspire me as per usual TronicsFix. Thank you for putting out this content and teaching me how to repair electronics. I am getting out of doing construction and home remodeling, and starting electronics repair as part of a new career path.
I like that you took a not too bad of a project, as an electrician and a bit of electronic guy, i could tackle a job like the Xbox fridge whilst re-balling microchips that's definitely something only you could do
Thank you for the video, good job. I've been fixing wall warts for many years now, sometimes they can be cracked open with a hammer like a walnut, just glue them back together. Another point, a hot melt glue gun comes in handy for many things, I use it to make strain reliefs and molding plugs and connectors as well as gluing things together
I stand by ifixit. Bought my pro toolkit a while back and it's help me out so much. Even replaced my wife's Switch joycon rails thanks to their step-by-step guide. Easy to understand, and the tools are very durable.
I thought my Xbox mini fridge was the only one with the power to fan issue but I guess it’s more common. Long story short I upgraded the fans I used my old Xbox one s Fan and radiator to extract heat and a led fan inside the fridge, now it works 100x better. My issue also was the power button board
My xbox fridge died when power went out. The AC to DC inverter they have in there is crap. Supposedly powering it off the 12V dc car adapter would still work. Have yet to try. This is inspiring me to open mine up and see what's up
Yep, Ifixit is the toolkit i have the pro-tech toolkit and i've used it a couple of times on my mouse to fix the double click as well as transplant a side button panel from an old one of the same model. and the toolkit has been super nice for that.
You'd need some soldering skills but idk where you would find a replacement board other than from another fridge. I might be interested in buying it from you though. Contact me on my contact form on my website if you want to sell: tronicsfix.com/pages/contact
8:50 I love how you ignored the ESD strap as it hasn't been needed in personal computers or electronics since the 00s... Of course servers and other manufacturing equipment may be more susceptible to ES.
I've been using your video tear downs to clean mine and friend's consoles, great video, got to say I really like this video; however, I am curious, did you get the temperatures of the insides of the fridges when testing them. I'm kind of interested in how cold they can get.
I couldn't figure out how to take the xbox fridge apart got a bit destructive to get it disassembled mine was completely dead everything I'm modding it to hopefully increase its cooling capability as it was not very good only using one of those modules that get hot on one side and cold on the other wish this video was out like 3 days ago couldn't find anyone else who has fixed one of these
I don't know about Ifixit's 100% guaranteete is accurate, it is a 100% common in my hardwhare store that they advertise 10 year warranty/ guarantee, but when you talk to them, I get the famous line, "Sorry, our warranty/ guarantee do not cover misuse or abused"
i finally got myself IFixit Pro Tool kit, im always want to have one (i love Finland so i did not buy its from their own website but because we have here also Electronics shop (name is Gigantti) i got it from their website
Are you ever concerned that you'll end up with a fire hazard on your hands? I'm not saying that they are fire hazards, but I'd be very concerned about something like a trace blowing up if I didn't know what caused it.
The Xbox series x mini Fridge is looking awesome it looks exact the same as the normal Xbox series x and you will also be a pro once you repair more in the future! Edit: keep up the great content! I like these videos where you repair things!
Check out the video where I try to fix this original special edition Xbox: th-cam.com/video/wRceNRKmjzg/w-d-xo.html
Imagine selling your Juggernog fridge thinking it's broken, when all you needed was a new adapter.
I enjoyed seeing you fix something that's kind of gaming adjacent. These mini fridges are pretty neat and I'm glad they'll continue to live on instead of ending up in a trash heap.
Yes, they’re pretty cool looking. I’m hoping people that watch my videos will like this one.

Yes, very common. Such a bummer that it's an easy fix but they won't let you open it easily to repair it
Yeah, I replaced the power supply on mine and it worked for a few months, then died again from some other issue. I never got around to opening it up to find out what killed it the second time, I just got a Red Bull mini fridge and now my Juggernog one is a display piece.

This video was very entertaining. I really love these occasional diversions from video game consoles and laptops. Thank-you.
So glad to hear that. I enjoy changing it up sometimes
I'll tell you whats wrong with those fridges. They're both missing the perfect amount of thermal paste !
So true!
This kind of product review is what I was talking about when I did the survey you put out the other day, using the tools and talking about them that is perfect!!
Good to know!
Man I was trying to find out how to open the Xbox mini fridge up for a long time but couldn’t get past the obvious screws. Thank you for posting this!
Awesome video steve! You were so right with that power supply for the jugger-nog fridge, they aren't made to be fixed.. im even surprised you got it open! Those output caps never seem to last unfortunately. Glad to see you got them working though!!
It's SO annoying that they don't make them to be fixed.
I was really hoping the Jugger-Nog fridge would make a sound but cool fridges regardless
Ya, I should have showed the sound. I messed up there. I'll try to make a video of the sound for my TikTok
I cant believe the IFixit store didn't provide Steve with a hot glue gun.
Lol, I'm sure they would send one to me. I should get one of those
You inspire me as per usual TronicsFix.

That was an intelligent fix of the XBox fridge Steve !!! Both great fixes.
Tiktok had all the spoilers on these 😅 Great work!
Lol, true.
Thank you for the video, good job.

I was in 9th grade when the Juggernog Fridge came out, so I didn't have any money. But boy would I buy that without a second thought today 👏🏽
It's pretty cool!
I never knew they even made gaming mini fridges lol I learn even more stuff when you explore stuff outside of your comfort zone
Those plastic circle screw covers will lift with Blue tack or double sided tape VHB.

The peltier elements underneath the heatsinks use thermal paste, think you forgot the most serious issue here :P
Sneaky 😂 I have two broken xbox fridges on route haha
Ah, nice! They're pretty simple so I'm sure you'll fix them right up!
That’s the cleanest fridge I’ve ever seen. Working or not
Which is surprising since I bought them from eBay
Upsetting to see the holes made in the plug coulda used a small suction cup or something
My xbox fridge died when power went out. The AC to DC inverter they have in there is crap. Supposedly powering it off the 12V dc car adapter would still work. Have yet to try. This is inspiring me to open mine up and see what's up

@@Tronicsfix opening it up this weekend 👌
I think you ment to say... The PERFECT amount of voltage :))
Ha, ha...why didn't I think of that?!
Yep, Ifixit is the toolkit i have the pro-tech toolkit and i've used it a couple of times on my mouse to fix the double click as well as transplant a side button panel from an old one of the same model. and the toolkit has been super nice for that.
Nice! Yes, those kits are so cool!
Always curious how these fridges perform in real world scenarios. How cool does it get?
Awesome video! I've had a Juggernog fridge with a cracked PCB for ages, is it easy to replace the board? Where would I be able to get a new board?
You'd need some soldering skills but idk where you would find a replacement board other than from another fridge. I might be interested in buying it from you though. Contact me on my contact form on my website if you want to sell: tronicsfix.com/pages/contact
This is superfun! Great new stuff Steve!
8:50 I love how you ignored the ESD strap as it hasn't been needed in personal computers or electronics since the 00s... Of course servers and other manufacturing equipment may be more susceptible to ES.
Exactly. It's still important for some things but not for what I work on
I remember using those. I actually fried a computer once cause I didn't.
been waiting for your video all day
2:50 what is the best way to clean plastic of an soldering iron?
Most irons come with a brass sponge for cleaning and that's what I use.
@@Tronicsfix ah my soldering iron came with a normal sponge for water so i think i need to buy a brass sponge
thank you
Yes, I prefer the brass sponge myself.
Funny how even a mini fridge comes with a mainboard nowadays!
Thank you as always... Like what you do, look forward to what you fix next...
Thanks for the support! I appreciate it
I still got my juggernog fridge. Love that lil thing
I love my juggernog fridge… if it ever breaks ill pay you to fix it!
Borat himself would be proud of this one 'great success'
YOUR MY FAVOURITE TH-camR
THANK YOU FOR THE SUPPORT!

I have a digital hvac gauges that got wet if you want to try to see if they can be fixed?
I’ve still got my juggernog mini-fridge and it’s still kicking ass years later
Wow, nice.
@@Tronicsfix Sometimes when I turn it on, the fan makes a rattle noise. That’s because it wasn’t used for a while. Afterwards the noise goes away.
who needs ASMR and useful tutorial at the same time.....
😊❤️
That would be a fun video to make
Don’t stoop to that, such a turn off
These peltier heatsinks were probably needing a perfect amount of thermal paste…
12:52 come on buddy. Use the tool in the pro tech tool kit! That kit is amazing. Use it twice and it has paid for itself.
It's a great kit!
It’s not possible to just glue the AC Power shell back together? Is it just too thin to make a reliable bond?
I really love your videos they are so inspiring.
Greetings from the Netherlands
Hi! So glad you enjoy these!
Those broken Xbox Mini Fridges are common. I have been hesitant to buy 1.
They're not super well built imo
duuuuude i so want one of those juggernog fridges
Sorry about last time. Great video. I still have a question on ssd’s.
I had to do the same repair to my Xbox mini fridge. It was funny watching you try to figure out how to get into it. I had the same problem lol
THIS WAS AWSOME
So glad you liked it!
@@Tronicsfix i love all your videos i had an urge to fix and clean my ps4 pro at 1:30 am last week and guess what amaizing man had a video just for me
Saw this on TikTok and I thought I missed an episode lol
Ha, ha, nope. Just been experimenting.
Amazing, Hi from Brazil
Hi! The closest I've been to Brazil is El Salvador
His wattage tool is called Scotty. LOL
The XBOX Mini Fridge Series X is the cutest thing ever. LOL. 😂
I went through 5 of those Xbox Mini Fridge 😂
Wow...not too surprised though.
Even $58 for a storage case resembling an X Box isn't a bad deal. The refrigerator efficiency must be horrible
Yes, efficiency isn't great.
If that fridge gets damaged or is unrepairable then we can use it as a disc storage cabinet
True, that could be cool
I'm gonna take a guess n say these use a simple peltier cooler?
How about doing some broken DJI or Autel drones? 😍
I might do that
@@Tronicsfix good luck :D

I got the juggernaut fridge on eBay for 300 and everything works I got lucky because they are expensive now

Awesome! You're going to love it!
Nice Steve 😃
I can't believe that the previous owner didn't just try a new AC adapter as the first thing. Who doesn't have a bin full of random ones... really.
Why name it Scotty? Did u name it or did it come like that?
Next : i bought 2 broken pcs let's see if i can fix them
Keep up the great work ❤❤❤❤❤
it's funny that people called the windowsbox series X a fridge i always thought it looked like a square version of the apple trashcan computer
These fridges look so cheap. Couldn't believe they're worth that much 😲😲
They are cheap for sure
Who is Scotty and why do you have his multimeter? 😛
Will you upload on your second channel again
idk...maybe someday
I have a dre beats speaker I'd love to send you and see if you can fix it.
This is what happens when small 12VDC devices don't use fuses
Yep
Nice idk if I would have paid that much for the cod fridge but I get ur reasoning for doing it
They're worth quite a bit on eBay
That JuggerNog is cool
Agreed!
Only problem with this video was there was not the perfect amount of thermal paste 👌👌
Have I missed videos? Who is Scotty? I didn't know that was his name.
Nope, you didn't miss anything. I have two multi meters and one is named Scotty
Exactly what i thought... bad HDMI port and wrong amount of thermopaste.
Lol, nailed it
2nd comment! Thanks for the content Steve! I've litterly run out of videos of yours to watch same with Vince 😑
What?! That's a lot of videos! Thank you so much for your support!
I've made a couple rounds through his library. As a novice, it seems new to me again
Same. I have gone back on some on his videos to make sure when I did some of my own repairs, I made sure I watched it correctly.
@@Tronicsfix Ofcourse! I dont really watch tv. I just havent seen your super old videos lol
Brings back cod vibes😂
I saw how cheap the xbox fridge was and it's cooling performance. It should be illegal to sell. It's just landfill items.
Does Scotty know you've pinched his voltmeter?
I thought of getting an Xbox mini fridge but I heard the quality was just awful. :/ great video
My target has the Xbox fridge new for 99$
Are you ever concerned that you'll end up with a fire hazard on your hands? I'm not saying that they are fire hazards, but I'd be very concerned about something like a trace blowing up if I didn't know what caused it.
Well, with stuff like this where the board is cheaply made the traces on the board act sort of like fuses
From Console Technician to Refrigeration
hahaha
Lol, to be fair these aren't real rerigerators
I like the jugger-nog machine.
Sir can u give me a solution, im facing error 102 then it change into 101 when i try to install offline update on my xbox one s,any solutions? Ty sir
