Hi Faiza, I made this recipe twice, I thought 2 cups is a lot of sugar so first I added 1 1/2 cups of sugar, it was way to sweet. Second time I tried 1 cup of sugar. It was still too sweet, I would recommend adding no more than 3/4 cup of sugar. Other than sweetness, I like the rest of the part.
Sugar in usa is not as sweet as dubai or Pakistan thats y her sugar measurement is accurate but people outside uk n usa should taste milk for sweetness before adding too much :)

I made this recipe twice. Followed everything expect only used 1 Cup Sugar and 2.5 litres milk. Also added kesar (zafran/ saffron) and 2 Tbsp rosewater. I even take a thin hijab (scarf) pin/safety pin and prick the centre of the balls carefully before adding them so it can cook evenly and quickly. Turns out perfect everytime but i cook it for 5 mins on HIGH, then 20 mins on LOW.
Hi Faiza, traditional ras malai recipe is very long and complex as it is made with "chhena" which is a kind of "paneer". This seems to be a short-cut recipe but I am sure tastes very good.

faiza aapi this is absolutely great recipe I followed it accurately and got excellent results thanks couldn't stop myself making it twice in three days
Assalamualaikum... I made these... I added saffron strands and a little bit of yellow color as traditionally rasmalai is yellow. Alhamdulilah turned out really well but they were a bit too sweet. Next time definitely going to reduce the amount of sugar. The tips are helpful. Jazakallahu Khair for the recipe!
