I've been using melodyne for harmonies for many many years but this thing sounds a lot better. It's amazing how technology has evolved. It just opens up new possibilities, I could do things with this I've never been able to. I wish it was a software or plugin, rather than a subscription based web service though.
Lovely update. I've been using this for a few months now and this new feature will save some time. My only negativity with Audimee is it's subscription based. I would happily buy a license outright as I struggle to get through an hour of conversions a month. Though I will go through a lot more conversions now you can stack them. Nice song by the way!
Very cool, that would definitely save me some time. I don’t really record a lot of singers that I would need harmonies all the time. It would be nice if they offered a price point where you could jump on and create some harmonies and pay a flat fee whenever you need to use it.
Yes, you can just change the melody to another voice if you want to duet, I made a video on this creating a female duet using my own voice.(using Audimee)
I agree with many comments here about the harmonies sounding a little too perfect. Around a hundred years ago at the start of the 'records' tech the harmonies were indeed perfect, Manhattan transfer from the 70s nailed that sound: th-cam.com/video/E8rAJZUm9gY/w-d-xo.html and from the 50s: th-cam.com/video/CX45pYvxDiA/w-d-xo.html . Humanization is what's needed, like the opposite of quantized.
Oh yeah! For sure I definitely would experiment more in a proper mix! This was just a quick show and tell of the harmony generator :) I also enjoy the UAD dimension D on a send - adds some cool chorus and width
@@spinlightstudios I've hovered over the 'Buy' button on Dimension D several times - but never pulled the trigger. Does it do anything that MicroShift doesn't. MS is my secret sauce plugin for backgrounds since watching your video.
Dreamy indie stack was a bit ‘We Are The Robots’ (Kraftwerk), but I think if you de-perfected it (nudged the timing and kept it in background) I reckon it’d be good. Oops… you just did exactly that in the vid! That’ll teach me not to be so eager 😅
Although the "voices" are different, I just cannot get past how the pronunciation of the words are mathematically identical. Offsetting the timing will never correct this.
@@spinlightstudios I got a song on the back burner that I think should suit it, I do think the harmony oct will be easier to do. It is hard to find someone to do harmonies at times. I bet a lot of the studios are moving towards this processes for artist needing a quick turnaround in recording their music.
Hi Gareth 😂 if you used the different takes to create the harmonies it would be give it way more realism - this was just to show how the generator works, even used subtlety can help fill a mix out - some people just can’t sing their own harmonies

I haven't been on Audimee for a couple of months, but this looks like a really awesome new feature!
Yeah I think it’s awesome and the presets are cool for quick ideas if you’re not sure what you’re looking for

Great job dude, thanks!
Thanks mate!
Thank you, great vid
Thanks!

Is melody singing regular? What I mean is if I want to do a duet could I? Would that be melody option?
Yes, you can just change the melody to another voice if you want to duet, I made a video on this creating a female duet using my own voice.(using Audimee)
@@spinlightstudiosthanks I’ll look for it
Your smile make me happy ❤
Haha thanks 😊 just here having a fun time making music!
Is there something where you upload a guitar riff or guitar riff with bass guitar and drums and the AI comes up with vocal melodies?
Hmmm not that I know of!
How much does it cost?

Was waiting for you to add Soundtoys MicroShift to those vox. I loved that trick from one of your previous videos.

It’s not as dramatic as Microshift / it’s a more subtle flavour - I like it a lot on guitars and synths
If you upload a song on the stream services using these AI vocals, there's no need to credit it? Is there any rules for commercial use?
No need to credit. . I looked and you can't even find the names of the people used to create these AI vocals if you wanted to.

@@BottleneckMoses haha! At least it shows you know what’s up 😉
It's really annoying when its says you have 15 minutes of vocals free but then you can't use the harmonies unless you sign to plan.
Ahh I guess it’s a plan only feature - it’s new so maybe they made that decision.
Although the "voices" are different, I just cannot get past how the pronunciation of the words are mathematically identical. Offsetting the timing will never correct this.
Yes, but using different takes will help make it more unique
AI in the creative process makes a guy feel a bit uncomfortable…but damn…it does the thing
Haha yeah I know what you mean… but there’s no stopping this train 🚂
Still need try this more for a song…
It’s a cool app! I still plan on finishing my AI duet one of these days haha the harmony generator is a great add on though

very cool. AI singing choir
@@johnviera3884 pretty cool! I definitely want to try making a choir part with Audimee at some point!
@@spinlightstudios you made a small choir!
Haha yeah but I want to make a big one for something!
