Meenakshi truly deserved National Award & Filmfare award for this movie for best actress. But due to politics, she couldn't get. She is truly an honourable actress. Rishi Kapoor played his character with excellence. He truly deserved best supporting actor award and Sunny Deol best actor award. Amrish Puri was best in his villainous role.

Both were good actresses. Minakshi's role was a tragic and sad one. Juhi Chawal's role was comic. Minakshi made us cry watching Damini. Juhi made us laugh watching Hum Hain Rahe Pyaar ke. I appreciate both actresses and their performance.

I think the judges made a very unfair decision of giving the filmfare award to Juhi Chawla for her role in HHRPK for no reason Instead of giving it to Minakshi Sheshadri for such a dramatic and lively performance. I believe that if those awards are based on the judgment by the audience, then I Meenakshi Sheshadri would have been the recipient as she truely deserved it.

No doubt! Meenakshi Seshadri deserves National and Filmfare awards for her towering performance.. But filmfare should be ashamed because they chose a comic role of Juhi Chawla of Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke over Meenakshi's legendary performance.. Sad.
