I went to five games at Las Vegas Ballpark in 2019. My main residence is in the Bay Area, and my favorite baseball team is the Oakland A's. I'm so glad they moved their AAA team to Vegas. That way I can watch my beloved Oakland A's when I'm in California, and I can watch the Aviators while in Vegas. Honestly, if we can't get a new stadium for the A's in the Bay Area soon, I hope they move to Las Vegas (maybe near M Resort). With traffic and everything, it would be much easier for me to go to games there than in Oakland. And I love the Vegas heat, so night baseball games are much more pleasant for me in Vegas than in Oakland.
Adnan Shahab This was a really nice comment, thanks for sharing all this. We are actually going to a spring training game this coming Saturday at the ballpark - really looking forward to going back there. We are so fortunate to have the team and ballpark here! ⚾️
We just love our ballpark here in Summerlin go Aviators! Another awsome post! You two always hit a grand slam with your videos. Already looking forward to your next post👍👍👍
We absolutely loved the Ballpark, the folks that worked there, the views and the atmosphere. We have already bought tickets for a couple of future games. Go Aviators!
I'm a big fan of the Las Vegas Ballpark. This was one of the biggest factor to my condo purchase which is within walking distance to the ball park, down town summerlin and Red Rock casino. My only wish would have been if this was the home of the triple AAA for the Dodgers (old 51s). I'll have to learn AL baseball with DH rules :)
@@paulamckenzie We live just on the west side of 215. I'm from Ca so I naturally grew up watching the Dodgers. But, the Aviator stadium is just too nice to pass up. And, down town summerlin is a good place to stroll through. Not to mention the red rock canyon national park. Can't wait for the baseball season to get going.
Went back in April to a game against the El Paso Chihuahuas and fell in love with it. BEAUTIFUL ballpark. Can't wait to go back and looking to move to Vegas within the next year or so.
As a local I can say it’s a noticeable difference compared to the old stadium. I get the Aviator mascot...just not the duck though, should have used Astro for the other mascot. (Just my opinion) GO AVIATORS!!!!
It is such a great place to go watch a game - we are gutted we won't be seeing any more this year. SO glad we went to Big League Weekend, at the end of February!
Thanks for showing this! I have tickets for Aug 21st game against Reno. Would you recommend Uber or a cab to get to Summerlin from the strip? Also did you get to see Finn the bat dog st the ball park?
Smug Smugly I’ll be perfectly honest with you I have no experience with Uber or the cabs here in Las Vegas. Never had a need to use one for anything. We just drive wherever we need to go, it such a small valley and pretty easy to get around by car. I really wish I could give you some advise on that. We do have a couple friends that have used Uber to get to the new arena for hockey games and had no complaints that I know of. As for Finn, there is a short clip towards the end of the Ballpark video of him retrieving a cooler he brought to an umpire on the field. Enjoy the game, BTW by the pool is a BBQ place that I did not show in the video, it looked like they had some pretty good food there as well. Let us know how it goes in August, travel safe. 😊
They changed the name in 2018 when a new stadium was being built in Summerlin, Nevada, a Howard Hughes Corporation master planned community. The Stadium and the team are owned by The Howard Hughes Corporation so, in my opinion, I am pretty sure they named the team after, “The Aviator” Howard Hughes. Thanks for watching, I hope that answered your question. 😊 Trivia: Summerlin is named after Mr. Hughes paternal grandmother, Jean Amelia Summerlin.

Awesome design for a ballpark
xoxo xoxoxo Yes we have been there several times, and we love the place.
Brilliant idea with the seats lol I hope they plan on a lot of evening games when it's wicked hot out
xoxo xoxoxo They do, Yes - and they also oriented the ball diamond to take advantage of afternoon shade!

Annie Gates Thank YOU! Knowing you are out there and getting a kick out of the videos makes my day. 😊

A swimming pool at a ball park??? Only in Vegas! Great video, really enjoyed this.

well....dbacks did it first
When did they and why did they change their name I saw them when they were the 51”s

Cashman Field was old and antiquated. It was time for it to be retired.
